Boy that seems high for a 14 goal scorer

They won't have cap for long if they sign 14 goal scores for anything close to $4M.

Meh, Donskoi is certainly top 9 quality. If it's 3 years or so it should be okay.

Isn’t 3 M or so for 37 points reasonable?

Is there some kind of a ~1 M per ~10 points rule of thumb?

I am thankful that I never again have to hear SJ Sharks PBP announcer Randy Hahn say "The Donfather."

Notable Flame killer coming to a team that killed the Flames last spring? Time to hate the Avs.

I like his speed and I think that he would be a great addition to the flames. That being said 4 million sounds pretty steep to me. At 3 million I think that he impacts enough games to justify that sort of pay.

Other than against the Flames, Donskoi is woefully average at this pricce tag.

I had read that he's a really good possession player since entering the league so I guess there's that.

Another crazy contract for an extremely streaky player. Aves needed depth, but I’m not sure an inconsistent scorer at that cap hit will help them.

About .5 too much for a year too long. Sounds like a standard July 1 contract.

The Avs are loaded with cap space. If anyone can over pay for a shorter term its them.
