This seems odd, wasn't Gaudette one of the players rumored to be most affected by COVID? I can't imagine he'll be allowed to be in Chicago any time soon.

Gaudette has been a disappointment this year, just physically weak, poor strength, in particular lower body strength where he has been continually bumped off the puck and unable to play in the defensive zone as a result. He doesn't have the skill to be a good top 6 player nor does he have the defense acumen to be a good fit in the bottom six without being a liability.
He should spend more time in the gym and less time playing video games.
