West Ham's run in is pretty easy, they've got a decent shot to make a CL spot.

@Newcastle
Chelsea
@Burnley
Everton
@Brighton
@West Brom
Southampton

If they can get a result against Chelsea they might just do it.

Well this looks grim. Maybe a big loss here and we sack Mourinho tomorrow morning?

Also not looking forward to an hour and a half of “Kane should leave” comments from whoever does colour here.

I might be ok with that being disallowed if there was consistency, but seeing as the same thing happened to Rashford minutes earlier and nothing happened....it's mostly embarrassing that the PL continues to accept the level of officiating we see week in and out. Not like it's only been poor recently.

Goal should have stood, var shouldn't be overturning that, go away var

Mctominay also should have been sent off, that's a 2nd yellow easily, Lamela got sent off for the same thing basically last month

VAR is just ruining the game. The implementation is a complete joke.

That said, that was a great goal from Spurs. I thought Lucas would shoot there for sure.

Mourinho is under contract for another two seasons, and Daniel Levy hasn't got where he is by writing huge cheques, if you catch my drift. There's simply no way he sacks Mourinho, especially when Spurs are in with a shout of a Champions League spot.

have to hand it to the Toxic One, I didn't expect the main takeaway to be "Ole doesn't feed his kids" today

Need to win probably 6 of 7 to even have a shot at CL now, so it's done

Just fire him, the money doesnt matter, it's already a sunk cost

Pure deflection and self preservation.

Try and make the story about Ole's comments rather than his inability to get his team to perform. Or that they looked tired in the second half against a team that played on Thursday night. Or that they had zero ideas. Or that Gareth Bale has done a disappearing act again.

Ole was spot on about Son. He was Lamellaing trying to get McT sent off. No two ways about it. His father would be disappointed.

Quote:
“My father told me when I was young that if I was through on goal but an opponent fell and hurt themselves, I should put the ball out and check on the opponent. Because if you’re a good footballer but don’t know how to respect others, you’re nobody. He is still saying that to me. Sometimes it’s difficult but we are humans before we are footballers. We should respect each other. On the pitch, off the pitch – why should it be different?”

I wish there was another season of TH. All or nothing simply to see what on earth is going on behind the scenes with Bale and to a lesser extent Alli.

Very telling reactions from Pogba and Shaw yesterday post game when their paths crossed with Mourinho on the pitch. Did the handshake thing, he said something to both of them and they both looked the other way having zero interest in engaging with him. A bad memory from their past.

Son's interview says it all. Speechless and no offering of any sign of explanation as to what the problem is. They look like a club in turmoil. They look just like a club should look under Mourinho. Disjointed, directionless, unfit and drained of confidence.

Regardless of the Milk Cup, Levy needs to pull the trigger, take the loss and fix the damage.

that was the thing that stood out to me, really. If you didn't know who was the team that played mid-week, you'd easily point to Tottenham ... they looked half dead in the second half. I remember fitness being an issue when he was at United too, especially in the season where he was fired. Solskjaer demanded more of them and they completely ran out of steam at the end of the season.

This is the kind of thing I love about English football. Rivalry and a self-deprecating sense of humour.

Quote:
Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur announced a partnership with a United Kingdom paint supplier on Thursday, before the company appeared to mock Jose Mourinho's team on Twitter.

However, after Spurs posted a statement about the partnership on Twitter, the company took a number of shots at Mourinho's team.

"Can the dog play at centre-back?" one fan tweeted.

Another fan asked about the possibility of getting the Tottenham trophy cabinet painted.

The company replied with a picture of a trophy cabinet with Spurs' logos photoshopped on and the caption: "For Sale, unused trophy cabinet."

The first 30 minutes was like that eyes-wired-open scene from A Clockwork Orange, but once Kane scored it was a good watch. That game really showed that the Spurs are basically Kane + Lloris and not a whole lot in between (except when Son is on)...
