Me either. Especially with the Mercs and Haas seemed to have no traction. Apparently there's been a few strong thunderstorms hit the track tonight already. So goodbye grip for tomorrow.

The good: no more dirt and sand off the racing line
The bad: no more grip on the racing line
So instead of it only being a skating rink off the racing line, it’ll be that way everywhere.

That could make the race more fun! Over under on the number of crashes at that crap corner section under the turnpike? (I think 14-15)

Former Indycar driver and SCCA legend Willy T. Ribbs doing the post-race interviews. Nice!

LOL Verstappen and Red Bull standing on top of a Ferrari podium.
I'd cover up the sign with their helmets.

Spain up next. Should be a lock for RB.
Tough season to get into so far as teams and drivers I believed were poised for big things have actually taken some substantial steps backwards. All except Albon.
He's getting so much more out that Williams than I imagine even Williams imagined.
If I was grand poobah of giving driver seats to drivers for next year. I'd be putting Albon in Danny Rics seat. Then putting Ric in the Williams, then somehow getting Stroll out of AM (Ain't gonna happen) and putting Hamilton in there. Then put a new driver into Hamiltons seat.

Huh. The sky team seem to think Spain is a lock for Ferrari.

It was uneventful. And the tv director missed about 85% of the stuff that did happen.

The SC added late drama but it was similar to Monaco. A pass or two but nothing major.
Had Alonso not hit Gasly which damaged Gasly’s car, then it would been have a worse race.

That DRS train that kept Norris at the back was disappointing. I think on a different track, he likely could have gotten himself out of there? Who knows.

This race made me wonder if DRS zones should activate at the start of a straight and close ~halfway down - seems more likely to result in cars actually competing in the braking zones (or the passee can actually draft+re-attack if the zone is too powerful).
Drivers would probably have to close it themselves, but not much different than the pit speed limiter. They should have good enough telemetry to see if it's open too late (obviously confirm penalties visually, too)
