That’s a waaay overpayment for a quarterback who hasn’t proven anything yet.
He's been pretty good for them in a dual threat role running and passing but I never thought I would see the day when the CFL is handing out $450k for a QB with less than 20 TD passes in a season as he's not going to beat teams with his arm alone.
The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
That's a pretty good signing as he was good for the Eskimos.
Agreed EE, I remember him as an impact player on defense for the Evil Empire. It also makes me wonder if we have seen the last of Cory Greenwood this season.
Not sure what to think. On one hand Collaros may be able to make some completions that Streveler can't. On the other hand the Stamps defense kind of struggled against the Harris/Streveler combo giving up 200 yards on the ground so Collaros at QB makes things more straightforward for the Stamps defense.
Interesting to see where he plays. McMannis and Holley have filled in at a pretty high level for Greenwood. I'd hate to see one of them have to sit down.
Hopefully the Stamps can muster a pass rush without Law as they didn't get a lot of pressure on Streveler when he dropped back in the pocket to pass. Williams isn't much of a loss at this stage with Jackson back as the return game hasn't been good for weeks.
i'm curious to see how the presence of Collaros affects our pass rush. I mean in the sense that there has to be a measure of compassion for his well-being. I'm sure few, and hopefully none, of the Stampeders want to be the guy who ends his career and leaves him with a lifetime of concussion issues. Does it mean that as a pass rusher you let up just a little?

I don't know, isn't the old adage that if you're healthy enough to dress, you're accepting the risks associated with playing?!? That said, I don't see any Simoni Lawrence or Kyries Hebert types on the Stamps, so I don't think Collaros should be concerned about guys headhunting. If you got a chance to lay a clean lick on him though, that's your job.
