Djokovic at 7 is something. US Open seeds will be interesting, especially if Federer comes back with whatever his protected ranking is.

This match means so much to Serena, she's giving everything she has out there. Everyone loves one last dance, is this Serena's?

Well, he could if he took the jab. He's hoping that the US relaxes the current restrictions, but it doesn't appear likely at this time.

I'm getting Hsieh Su-wei flashbacks watching Harmony Tan.

Going to a 3rd set tie-break.
Edit: Harmony Tan knocks out Serena.

A great day for Harmony, and therefore, the world.

It's always a sad day when an all time legend may have played her last match

Not when it's Serena Williams. Good riddance... This is like Claude Lemieux retiring as far as I'm concerned.

Ive never been the biggest Serena fan, but something about seeing her out there giving it her all and still losing, against an opponent 10 years ago she would have taken to the bakery with a bagel and breadstick got to me. This meant something to her and she gave absolutely everything she had out on the court, have to respect that. It was sad to see maybe the greatest women's tennis player ever lose first round and maybe end her career like that. DP hopefully your right and she plays US Open.

For somebody that hasn't played in essentially a year and is less than 3 months away from her 41st birthday, that was some pretty impressive tennis from Serena. Pretty easy to see that she hit the wall late in the 3rd set and was running on fumes. Hopefully, she continues to train and increases her stamina for one more US Open run later this summer.

TSN was in a tough position today with the schedule. Earlier they showed the Gauff match on two channels and Kyrgios on the other, missing the beginning of the Nadal match. Then when Bianca match started they showed Shapo, Felix and Nadal matches but not hers. Bianca caught wind of that and wasn't happy.

I'm not sure what the solution is, maybe more channels? I would have shown Nadal, Bianca and Felix.

To be fair of the three Canadians her match was the least competitive or interesting. But I think she'll take that. Pretty sure they'll have no trouble putting her 2nd round match on, that could be a challenge.

I'm not saying he's my pick to make it, but I would like to see Frances Tiafoe advance to the semi-finals.

It's contractual. TSN has three feeds. The ESPN one and two others for themselves. When Denis and Felix already started on those two, Bianca has to get bumped. It would have happened the other way if Bianca has started first.
And yeah, that draw is crazy. Pressure will be on Norrie at home.

Caroline Garcia continuing her fine play from Bad Homburg as she takes the first set 6-3 over Emma Raducanu.

Meanwhile, the feel good story of Harmony Tan lasted all of one day as she pulled out of the doubles with a "thigh injury" and is getting blasted by her doubles partner for the late withdrawal.
