Gaudreau wore 58 when he started with the Flames

Nope 53

I think Derek Morris takes that one

Gaudreau sweated more in his time wearing 53 than Morris did in his last 3 seasons here.

Joe Mullen for sure. 89 of course vital but as Bingo said, made an immediate impact in 1986.

The C or Red video from 1986 shows that more than the 1989 video does.

Anybody who was in the Red Hot video should win by default.

Sorry TJ. You have been a great Flame. But there is only one Joey Mullen.

The Mullen brothers had a cool back story with a tough upbringing in Hells Kitchen, NY. Great accents too. Both were great players but Joe was elite.

Mullen by a landslide my fav player from the 80s, he was the first trade that started the Flames to become the all star team they would be. Losing him to the Pens was just as bad as Gilmour for Leeman

I believe Nieuwendyk did he came into the league in the 86/87 season with a number like 36 I think then in 87/88 went from 22 to 25 after Mike Bullard was traded.

Edit: Just watched some film of the 86/87 Jets vs Flames game 7 and Nieuwendyk is wearing 18

I was very tempted to go with Brodie simply for tenure and relatively strong performance. Next season will be his 10th as a Flame. Buuuut, Mullen was a very high end scorer for about half that tenure and I think a very, very underrated player.

I went with Mullen, but it was very close.

I did vote Chouinard because I've always felt he was under-appreciated. He was a huge part of Lanny being able to score 66, and deserves some recognition in this poll. But I should have voted for Mullen - a huge contributor to the Cup win, and an atrocious give-away by Cliff Fletcher.
