Alright WoW nerds, do I need to start a thread for you too? Don't we have one someone could dig up?

Why have a video game thread if we have a separate thread for each game?

It was actually nice. You would set to login, and while you waited an hour to get through the queue (if you were on a busy server like Arthas) you would go for a run, shower, and get supper done. It was actually fairly convenient.

Hot take: Classic will be extremely boring for all but 3 classes and will not recapture the feeling of the original game.

I've had more fun on Light's Hope than I've had on retail for a decade.

It definitely doesn't completely recapture the actual feeling of vanilla WoW since most players are min-maxing and know the game like the back of their hand, but the community feel is similar to how my realm felt back in the day. It's a fundamentally stronger MMO. That the server has been able to maintain such a large population for so long seems to imply that nostalgia isn't the main staying point.

Now if Blizzard does their best to recreate Classic as it was while relieving the player base of the fears and drama that exists on private servers, I think it will be a good time.

SHHHH, go play your kid games :P

I haven't played WOW in about 6 years...Vanilla was the best experience I have ever had playing a game. But there is no way they are getting me to build another computer and install that bad boy on it. Even though everything else looks amazing.

Battlefield V early access dropping in a few days. Hugely stoked. The move back to WW2 and the changes made to the gameplay are quite promising. I enjoyed the beta and Dice has been great since then at communicating and integrating fan feedback.

Looking forward to firing it up on XB1X!

What is the consensus on Fallout 76? Anyone play the Beta?

I went to play the beta and found out, like a lot of people, the preload was mysteriously deleted. If you’re going to leave Steam your launcher better not be a piece of crap. Say what you will about EA, but Origin works well.

I’ve watched a few gameplay videos and I’m not impressed. This engine is tired, tired, tired. I’ve read that performance (on PC at least) is worse than Fallout 4.

Bethesda makes some of my favourite games, and I’ve put up with bug-ridden crashfests every time. I’m not excited for an online Fallout game so I’ve cancelled my pre-order and I’m going to give this a pass.

Yeah after watching footage and whatnot I'm really not impressed. The online thing never did excite me, add in the fact that the game already looks and feels like it's 5 years old and I don't think I can really be bothered

Fallout 4 is by far my favourite video game of all time, and even I'm leaning towards passing on Fallout 76. I watched some twitch streaming of the beta and that didn't really move the needle any towards buying the game either.

If the game is a financial failure, maybe Bethesda won't try this again.

Agreed. That third person view looks comical.. unfortunate but think it's a solid pass for me until they update their skyrim engine, lol

Wow, safe to say Tetris Effect has exceeded expectations. Some reviewers are even calling it game of the year material.

I've got it loaded and ready to go when I get home from work!

lol.

I played the demo, it was a lot of fun - especially in VR with headphones - and I'll be picking it up. But "game of the year"?

Will I like Assassins Creed Odyssey if I could never really get into Origins?

Doubt it. It's the same gameplay style as Origins just on a bigger scale. It was great fun but if you didn't like Origins probably not.

Thanks. I'm sure I've mentioned it here a few times but I never disliked Origins, just could never get myself compelled to play it. I do find the setting of Odyssey more interesting though
