I like the world championships. It's just hard to get up for them when you have an outstanding R2 in the playoffs.

Well if Bill Peters has the Flames winning 10-0 and 7-1, I’m in!

If the NHL would let the Flames play against South Korea and Denmark, I'm sure he would.

Remember Dave Lewis?

He was the head coach of Belarus at the Worlds this year. After a disappointing 0-3 start to the tournament, he has been replaced.

Wow Dave has aged a lot since his time behind the Wings bench.

He's definitely not the fresh-faced Fuhrer we all remember him to be.

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen an international tournament coach replaced mid-tourney.

At the 2017 World Juniors, Finland fired their coach mid-tournament after they dropped into the relegation round.

I remember that stunned look when the Wings lost to the Flames in 04.

A bunch of Sharks are making their way to Denmark...

I wonder if any of the Pens or Bruins will go? The Penguins are probably just happy to have some time off.

With the addition of Vlasic, it looks like Canada still has room to add a goalie and a forward to the roster.

He was not. Czechia won 5-4 in a shootout.

Tomorrow is another slow day on the schedule as Canada and the US both have another day off.

Sweden plays Austria at noon, which is the only game of interest for Flames fans.

Canada and USA both return to action on Thursday.

Denmark with a late PP goal to go ahead of Finland 3-2.

Hold on for a huge upset.

Way to go Danes!!

The handful of family I have in Denmark have no idea this tournament is happening.

Denmark's win relegats Korea for sure (if it wasn't sure already).

Belarus and Austria have a showdown on Saturday to avoid relegation.

Denmark are definitely improving. Much like the Swiss and Germans. Great to see.

Both Krejci and Pasternak are joining the Czechs.

Bob Hartley's Latvian team looks very good, and is currently holding a 2-1 lead over Team USA midway through the second period.
