It is not quibbling at all.
He only includes those numbers which prove his point. Provides no data for the outliers. He picks games 12 through 23 based on which ones illustrate his point the best.
It is likely that you are so willing to manufacture potential excuses for poor performance that you are not seeing this. As I stated, his reasoning has some merit but the bias in manipulating the presentation of the data absolutely reduces its validity.
