Poirier hits a Tuscon player into the boards and the glass pops out.

Lomberg hits the crossbar on a breakaway.

Poirier fails to finish on a 2 on 0 with Goloubef.

Then Tuscon ties the game.

Tuscon scores 2 within a 1:11 early in the 3rd and its 3-1 Tuscon.

Lomberg finally converts on a shorthanded breakaway and its 3-2.

Prout with the assist. His first with the Heat.

And that should do it.

Tuscon puts in an empty netter. 4-2 Final score.

Lomberg with 1g+1a as the first goal Findlay's assist was taken away and given to Lomberg. Lomberg named 2nd star.

Gillies 27 saves on 30 shots.

Stockton misses an opportunity to take 1st place in the division.

I noticed Kylington played tonight and had an assist. Was there ever any word as to why he missed a few games?.

It's been a nice change to have so many prospects graduating.

Now if only one of those RWs could take the next step. Nothing would help the Flames more than having Poirier or Foo put it all together and make themselves NHL-ready.

Stockton is going struggle with that center depth.

They sure could have used Hamilton, and they could also use Hrivic back if he's just going to sit in the press box with the Flames.

Any chance Vey comes back on an AHL deal after his KHL season ends? Can they do that? Probably not I suppose. The guy is the 3rd highest scorer in the entire KHL this season.

KHL season will be done after the AHL trade deadline, so no. I also think he would have to go through waivers in the AHL to sign an AHL deal even if he could join the team before the deadline because he played in Europe.

Stars up 3-1 on the Heat after 2 periods

Lone Heat goal is Gazdic from Wotherspoon.

Parsons 21 saves on 24 shots so far in his first AHL game.

Wow 7-2 Texas. 5 minutes left.

Not the debut everyone was expecting for Parsons.

Final 7-2.

Parsons gives up 7 goals on 40 shots.

2nd Heat goal was Klimchuk from Andersson and Shinkaruk on the PP.

As mentioned that Center depth is without Hrivik... wow. Mcmurty was lighting up the E, interesting to see if he can gain some traction.

So weird getting emotionally invested in the farm club.

On one hand your excited that they've done such a good job developing guys, that we've had a goalie and 4 forwards get called up and stick so far.

On the other hand it pisses me off because the roster has been decimated and as a result they are struggling. 1st place team before the call ups, but it wouldn't surprise me if they topple all the way down and out of a playoff spot with that roster they have now.

Flames first though, so I'll take it. Would be pissed though, if I lived in Stockton and had seasons tickets and wasn't a Flames fan.

Jon Gillies all but standing on his head tonight.

1-0 Stockton over the Texas Stars. Goal by Austin Carroll.

Spencer Foo with the empty-netter. 2-0.

Mike McKenna in net for Texas. Name ring a bell? Played for the Las Vegas Wranglers and Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights.
