In two seperate moves TJ Brodie was told to pack his bags, while Alex Ovechkin is back with the Devils.

TJ Brodie (No Cap) goes to help Nashville, while the Devils also receive Chad Johnson, Brendan Lemieux, Josh Ho-Sang and a 2019 2nd.

This was a cost cutting move, but we are happy to get 3 nice pieces and think Ho-sang and Lemieux will both be full time NHLers next year.
Chad Johnson may not stay long in NJ.

In a second move the Devils receive AO and millions upon millions of dollars for Tyson Jost and a 2019 3rd.

I hate to give up Jost, but to have a top 5 winger at no salary cost next year was too good to pass up. Ovechkin , Stamkos and Kucherov will terror the Eastern Conference (sacrifices to the sim gods shortly).

Thanks to the new and vet GM's in discussions.

Rumours have it the Devils have a lot of NHL caliber forwards and may ship some out, stay tuned...

We've had previous talks in regards to Jost. I like this deal a hell of a lot better for you. I think you found the perfect deal

My season turned when I brought in AO so I wanted to move on from him. Covering his salary in full isn't ideal, but it seemed like the only way to extract value. I like Jost a ton and think he will be a value player for years 2 and 3 of his entry deal when I will need some cheap players desperately.
