friend of mine who sent me that link signed up and has already received his keys. i just finished signing up and am waiting for my payment to be processed. i would think they'd restrict membership signups if this gets too popular, so not sure how much longer it'll be good for

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Keep in mind you are signing up for MSDN access through an educational institution.. so really this license a) isn't for commercial or personal use, it's supposed to be for evaluation or educational purposes and b) it's for a 1 year membership, so after 1 year you are supposed to stop using it (unless you renew your membership, which likely won't be possible once they plug this hole).

So it gets you a copy but it's not a valid license.. if you are ok with that you might as well get it off of bittorrent (though this will probably be easier to deal with; no cracks and playing cat and mouse with activation).

then again, if EULA's were taken strictly, 99% of PC users would be in violation at some point or another. as far as i'm concerned, i'll be "evaluating" this until the crackers release a patched Windows 7 that includes slipstreamed updates that fix the holes Microsoft missed the first time around

Saw this thread on RFD a few days ago, was interested until I saw you need to be affiliated with an educational institute. Too bad I'm not, it's a good deal

I guess. I just wanted to make sure anyone who tried this wasn't doing so thinking they were getting the equivelent to a full retail version.

Still I might try it, cheaper than Snow Leopard even!

MSDN AA is one of my favorite parts of being a U of C student.

Got Win 7 x64 up and running on my desktop, too lazy to hunt down drivers to throw it on my laptop at the moment.
