Can't trick me into watching this garbage. Lost 10 of their last 12 at home. What a joke. I'll be actually enjoying myself with Far Cry 5 instead.

Columbus is on fire and the Flames can't even score a goal. What could go wrong?

Wow this last stretch has been painful !
If Glue would scramble up the lines and try something different that would be refreshing.

Hopefully they'll show up for training camp this year and be ready to compete right off the bat.

Sick of GG not having the team reved up to start the season off.

They'll be forced to approach camp with a bit more urgency. They have to send a competitive team off to China in mid-September to face the Bruins.

It does mean a few more PTOs etc to stay home and play exhibition games but the team as a whole should be set sooner and ready to start the season sooner.

Also the new coach will have them ready.

I wasn't sure the context of this quote, but I found it interesting as well.

The only game that has remotely any significance is the one against the Oilers.

Well, the C of Red is a very blue place these days. Fighting the ennui, That Darn Puppet goes out for a spin in his yellow submarine to get rid of the Blue (Jacket) Meanies, who'll hopefully take a certain Nowhere Man with them:

Spoiler!

Go Flames. I guess.

Pretty much. I fully expect them to lose every game from here on out, but I hope they win that one.

I have never seen a team just so openly quit.

I've always turn the game on. I can't help it. I'll take the little things as positives.
Against, LA, Bennett absolutely crushed Doughty with a hit. That makes me think Bennett is still trying and the rest will too. They had sequences where they moved the puck really well. Another positive.
I'll watch tonight for the same reasons. Plus, with all of the frustration on the team, someone is going to lose it. My money is on Smith right now.

Torts is a good friend.
He is not the only one, and I don't think it is just back-scratching from a friend. Lawrence Gillman was on TSN 1040 in Vancouver yesterday afternoon, and strongly advocated for Gulutzan. Despite the cacophony from fans clamouring for his head, hockey executives and observers have not been echoing this sentiment. It leaves me thinking that Gulutzan may stay on the bench in Calgary.

You could be right and that's a scary thought (him returning I mean).

I can say with 100% certainty that if he stays, regardless of any personnel changes, this team will be in for more of the same from the past 2 seasons. Either they miss, or they squeak in and underwhelm.

I think you can understand why a lot of players would rather play in the US. For any Flames player to come here and read all the posts about how gutless they are, lacking of leadership, etc that can't be easy to take especially given we really don't know what's going on behind closed doors and the effort on the ice has for the most part been pretty good even if the outcome hasn't been as desired.
