He was originally an imperial pilot.

he was an Imperial Pilot and a good one, until his commanding officer decided to execute some Wookie Slaves, one of which was Chewbacca.

Solo saved him and assaulted his officer, he was booted out of the Imperial Navy which at the time was a black mark and he ended up penny less and started smuggling.

I spoilered it, what I talked about above was expanded on in the Legends EU, but touched on in the Original Trilogy Novels which is still canon.

Looks like they are going for a more adult theme than TLJ. The looks great, although I'm beginning to feel like Disney's abused partner with the upside and downs.

I’m not sure if he’s quoting the new EU or the old one. If it’s the old one then it’s no longer Canon so it’s not really a spoiler.

Longer version of the teaser, that doesn’t have all the same scenes for some reason. Looks alright — can’t help but feel the last line of the teaser is a little bit ‘meta’ about it’s development!

from what i have seen thus far, this movie will be a good investment of about two hours of my life.

I would expect that this is going to be some kind of heist movie with a complex plan that evolves into a Fast and Furious style space ship chase.

Then at the end Darth Vader appears and boards the Falcon (which looked really clean I might add) and kills all of the characters except for Lando and Han and Chewie who make their escape.

Then the sequel

Solo 2 Electric Boogaloo, will be about stealing the falcon back from the Imperials.
