Default Recommend a nutritional supplement

I’m looking for recommendations for a nutritional supplement that can be mixed into a beverage. I’ve been looking at Athletic Greens.

This is not for body building but i just need a good supplement/meal replacement. I want the following:

- Excellent nutritional content - Athletic Greens is really great
- Preferably available in health-food stores (I’m not in Calgary so maybe chain stores) or available by delivery
- Tastes good; low-calorie preferred

I love Athletic Greens and may call around to see if I can find it in local stores. https://athleticgreens.com/en?utm_so...utm_medium=cpc

Why not just take Athletic Greens? They have a good reputation and their stuff seems to be solid.

Not sure its a meal replacement though. Just something to help you get the greens / vitamins each day if you can't get it with food sources.

I may try athletic greens.

I consistently do get salad in a meal daily but I don't think I get enough variety of greens and veggies.

It's a lot of grocery trips to maintain that intake.

That’s likely what I’ll do. I was hoping for something available at a local store. Maybe it is, I don’t know.

I tried a pouch of Subi's superfood powder out of Vancouver. Looks to be quite similar to the AG in ingredients and purity, but my issue was the first ingredient was matcha and wasn't looking to further up my caffeine levels. If that doesn't bother you, could be an option

Take 20mg of vyvanse a day and you won’t need to eat another meal ever again.

There's lots of greens supplements.
I'm not sure athletic greens does anything too different from the others.
I've used a few and am currently using this one:
https://www.popeyesbc.ca/products/be...YaAgmIEALw_wcB

It tastes good and mixes easily. I usually have it with a scoop of whey and almond milk.

I have no idea if these things really do much or are just placebo, but I like taking a green supplement as I don't eat enough greens.

Is this on the go or at home with access to a blender? At home a bunch of fruit blended with yogurt and whey protein is a great option. The limiting factor with time is going to be good easy your blender is to clean.

I know a guy who has only had Soylent for 5 years now. He will eat free food if offered but otherwise he removed all appliances from his home and only has shelves full of Soylent.

I feel like we know the same person. Does he happen to drive a Tesla? Does his first name start with E?

I think Athletic Greens advertises on Andrew Huberman's podcast and you should be able to get a 20% or some such discount through that.

LOL, Athletic Greens seems to sponsor every influencer under the sun. Even my 8 yr old knows about them. Guess it's working....

I was using meal replacement shakes for a while and at that time Soylent wasn't available in Canada, but it looks like it is now. I'd give that a try.

I found one powder out of Europe that I really liked but I can't seem to find the name. It tasted quite good.

The other one I used for a while was this one https://superbodyfuel.com/

Taste was fine.

Ultimately I just started making my own food more, but I might get some Soylent to have quick meal options around.

EDIT: Hm Soylent doesn't seem to have much fiber.

What is the purpose of meal replacement shakes?
Is it to save time?

To ensure that you get your calories in the least healthy way possible, die early, and help with overpopulation.

For me it was partly to save time, partly to get away from eating out at lunch at work. I figured the meal replacement was better for me than A&W.

I think it helped change my habit.. Then when COIVD came and I started working from home I stopped using them and was able to make my own breakfasts and lunches.

I still wouldn't mind having some around for once in a while when a fast meal would really help.

I wouldn't call Athletic Greens a meal replacement. More like a help to get your vitamins & minerals from plant based sources (something we all lack in daily).

Have you tried a meal prep service?
They're not cheap but you can get fully cooked, nutritional meals that are ready to microwave and eat in 2 minutes.

Far more nutritional and more satiating.

I looked at them but as you say they're not cheap.

After a few years of WFH habit of making lunches hopefully I can maintain that whenever we eventually go back into the office.
