After most wins/losses I would agree but not the Battle of Alberta. This is a top rivalry in the league, if not all pro sports. The games mean a little more. The frustrating thing is that the current version of the Flames - from ownership down - doesn’t seem to care about this rivalry.

The only other teams I can think of that have given their fans so little to cheer about in that timeframe are Minnesota, Buffalo, Ottawa, Arizona, and of course Edmonton. Maybe Florida too, but they appear to have finally turned a corner. It just gets depressing watching so many other organizations commit to full rebuilds and come out the other end with playoff caliber teams while the Flames just spin their wheels year after year
You couldn't have said it better. Sad we are in Buffalo, Arizona, etc class.. especially considering we were once a good/proud/successful franchise.

Buffalo has a .3% odds of making the playoffs, Arizona is at 0%

Calgary, 83.5%

What are you saying?

They don't care? Seemed to me like they played hard and dominated most of the game

Can't dwell on it, they play again tomorrow. Win and you are 4 points up on them with a game in hand

i hate watching the Oiler/Flame games as the Flames don't even try to play physical with the Oilers only 2 decent players. even before the game, i figured that the Oilers would win and McDavid and Draisital would get their points. Flames are 4 points up with a game in hand on the Oilers, that is such a low bar to set.

I try to stay out of these PGT threads, but especially after a BoA loss. Like most, pretty bummed about it, but just gotta take some time away.

Sutter will keep ‘em honest, for next game.

Flames will 100% be a top four team in the division.

Under Sutter? In this division? Don't see them missing.

Well except for San Jose but he let in a backbreaker seconds prior to the 2nd intermission.

Really needs to get his head screwed on right against in-division games because they'll be piling on fast and furious in spring, 4-pt games we cannot be dropping repeatedly.
At this point I really don't see why we don't just play Vladar for divisional games (especially home games!) except maybe the Canucks...

Because as promising as Vladar is, he’s still the second best goalie on the team, and also because if the team’s going anywhere you need a confident Markstrom. Yanking him in all division games ain’t gonna do that.

I am still gutted about this result. I hate the Oilers more than anything in the entire world.

Yeah BoA games are their own entity to me. It doesn’t matter how promising the overall season looks, losing these games makes me more angry than missing the playoffs. They are my favourite part about being a flames fan.

This a thousand times.

When is Treliving going to get the memo?

No ####ing Fantenbergs this year Bradley. A Good middle/top six add or bust.

Step up and be the GM we need you to be and give Sutter the scoring he needs to go somewhere with this group.

The formula is there, but they need help.

I think he is saying we had the same amount of success as both those clubs since 1995.

It’s only the top 3 that are guaranteed spots, then 2 wild cards.

Unfortunately, Treliving has never been and will never be that guy. He probably thinks Mangiapane is just in a cold spell and instead he'll get us another 6-7 defenseman.

That list that showed how few goals everyone not named Johnny or Matthew have scored in the last 12 games is glaring.
