I may be in the minority but I don’t find Brunt a great guest.

I think he's one of the best guests myself.

He is a CFL mlb guy for the most part. Maybe you don't care much about those sports? Possibly

His only CFL takes are that he is a long time fan that thinks the CFL is a joke and has no future

That and the Hamilton perspective, whenever Hamilton is relevant for whatever reason.

He's a lifelong fan and season ticket holder.

As a big fan of course he's always concerned about the state of the CFL. In that way he's no different than a fan like me. The league has a lot of issues. If he actually thought the league was a joke I doubt he would care about it as he does. He's very big into boxing as well but nobody wants to talk boxing unless there's a major fight upcoming. The last thing Canada needs is another NHL talking head in the media so I appreciate what Brunt brings to the radio.

There is a lot of people in southern Alberta rural areas that listen to Flames on their AM radio while they are in an area where they don't get decent internet to listen online. It is quite handy for me when I'm driving from point a to b to be able to listen to the Flames games.
So either 960 or 770 works for me.

The Winnipeg Jets have games broadcast on AM and FM radio.

They may have made a trip to Edmonton, but otherwise I’m told the radio guys (Wills/Loubardias) aren’t travelling. They’re doing the road games from a board room in Calgary.

Curious if anyone has any reviews of the all new Big Show with Nault and Gordon. Since the changes, I haven't listened to an afternoon show and only tune in to Steinberg/Rose on game days to hear the pre-game. As someone who moved from the Calgary market 5 years ago, I used to listen religiously as it kept me tied to the team/city/etc... It got harder to keep tuning in the last year or so and I think I'm ready to officially cut the cord. I still tune into the Boomer in the Morning/Pinder stuff but after that, it's on with my day.

I dont mind the overall format changes...with the exception of the Nault/Gordon segment. That is as painful as you can imagine. I find their dialogue so boring to try to listen to. I wish their segment was either eliminated or reduced in duration drastically. Get the Steinberg segment to start at least 1 hr earlier.

I like the Flames focused shoes it just sucks they are not really on the air from 12-4 most days.
I even find myself changing the stations in my car if I need to pop out for a meeting or to pick something up during the day. I have gone back to listen to Flames talk with Pinder 2-3 hours later which is alright.
Maybe it is just me but I really have no desire to go back to previous days shows so I will never listen to the Steinberg version of Flames talk with the exception of the 4-6 hours where I am working/picking up my kid from school.
They need to fix the 12-4 time slot. Hoping that the low ratings/streams/subscriptions that Nault/Gordon likely will have will force a format change.
I think there is a belief at the FAN that Nault is good at his job and if they turn him away from Foames coverage people will come around. Maybe some but not me.

Nault and Gordon make Kerr seem like a legend of daytime radio.

I like that they are better oriented to podcasts so I can pick and choose segments to listen to when I’m making dinner or commuting (hands free). Means I can skip Francis.

I do miss the FAN during the afternoons but I can’t listen to Nault and Gordon just brutal. I don’t care to go back to yesterday’s flames talk so they can break down the Coyotes game we all watched last night. That is my biggest gripe which I can’t help repeat.
12-4 is just garbage radio right now

Honestly I'm not sure I've ever really heard anyone ever say they like Will Nault.
Klein had his flaws too, but he was still 10x better than Nault.

Years ago when Nault was just in the producers chair , filling air when warranted wiith Kirsch/Pat/Kerr, I didn't mind him then. The more they pumped up his role the more annoyingly cynical and negative he became and now I can't stand the guy just like everyone else. I haven't listened to the FAN before 4 in a long time now and honestly I doubt at this point I ever will. Guys like a cheese grater on the ear drums.
