Never knew I wanted to see this spin-off:

Spoiler!

I know narratively it would make no sense, but I really don't care.

I thought it was a very good season but David Harbour just yelling all the time almost lost me.

She didn't know what was going on in Hawkins or that others were on the frequency.
He asked her to switch over to a clearer frequency and then she thought she was just catching up with her boyfriend.

She had no idea a bunch of people were about to get flayed and that time was a concern.

He said it was Urgent and was trying to save the world and would make it up to her asap. Even if he didnt say those things, the sense of urgency in this voice should've also gave it away that something was wrong.

Even David Harbour (the actor who played Jim Hopper) agrees with the idea that Suzie costed Hopper's life

While true, she did cost him his life, her response of being slightly annoyed that he hadn’t called in a week was reasonable. And more than likely the story of him being off saving the world and needing Plancks constant to do it was a lie because he didn’t get around to setting up the antenna.

So not really her fault

Season 3 was one of the most enjoyable seasons of any show I’ve watched in a long, long time. So much fun, so many awesome moments, and it still maintained the heart of the show.

Huge step up from season 2, and while different than season 1 in tone, I thought it was just great.

Yup, finished it last night. Season 3 of Stranger Things is one of the best seasons of anything I've watched in a while.

Those of you loving Stranger Things need to check out Dark on Netflix. It’s of similar style and much better, in my opinion. It’s super good.

I thought basically from the scene where she goes inside's Billy's memories to the end - was some of the best TV storytelling I've watched.

And that scene - was fantastic. That took the season to a new level that it sustained from that point on.

Is there a show that has been better at making d-bag characters sympathetic, and ultimately fan favorites?

Season 3 is going to be hard to top as IMO I feel they got nearly everything right. Pretty rare that an 8 episode series can maintain such a high level of polish and quality throughout 8 hours that people of all ages can relate to and enjoy. No flat spots or filler just pure entertainment from beginning to end. Has there ever been a TV series that offered a movie level of popcorn fun like this?

One of the best things about Stranger Things is that a family or group of people of all ages can sit and watch it together and be equally enjoyed and I don't think that's the case with Dark. It's simply too complex for kids and adults that have issues with focus and attention as it requires a high level of engagement and commitment to follow what's going on as it doesn't hold your hand. It's a more intelligent show for sure but it lacks the broad popcorn appeal of Stranger Things.

The worrying thing I read this morning is that they're hurrying to write the next season because the kids are growing so quickly and they're concerned the 80s nostalgia craze will fall off soon.

I think the reason this season worked so well is because they took their time. They have a smaller creative team than most shows so they're pretty meticulous about everything.
