there's no one that the Raptors could offer than the Nets would take for KD.

Hmm? Scottie Barnes is one of the best trade assets out there. And its the NBA - Durant will push his way to where ever he wants to go anyways.

Disagree completely with this. A deal centred around Scottie Barnes would get the nets interested, and might just be the best they could hope for.

Too rich for the raptors though, I dont advocate including Scottie in a deal for a 33 year old player, even if he is still effective and a legend.

Finding a deal that could work for both Toronto and The Nets might be impossible though

Heh, Scottie was trolling on his IG story by posting (then immediately deleting) a pic of him and KD

It's a pipe dream and I doubt Masai/Bobby are even interested but I would offer any 2 of OG + Trent + FVV + Siakam + multiple 1sts for KD. Barnes is the only untouchable

Barnes would be a complete non-starter in a potential KD swap. If you're going after Durant it's because the Raptors feel they can have another Leonard type season, and you aren't even in the conversation without Trent, Barnes, Siakam and Van Vleet.

Unless the Nets were pumped about receiving OG, Koloko, 2 firsts and another player not mentioned above, I'm not really sure there's a deal here either and given KD's injury history and general demeanor lately, I'm pretty sure you're not getting the type of season out of him that would make it worthwhile.

The Nets are gonna want nothing but picks and young guys. The Suns ability to package Ayton and tons of 2025 and later picks makes them a good bet, but I doubt Sarver wants to pay $150 million in luxury tax. As for Durant himself, biggest ##### in the history of the league is now wrapped up, so at least he'll be the GOAT of something

I just don't believe that adding Durant for whatever it would take to get them suddenly makes the Raptors a championship favourite. That said, there are other pieces on the Nets that would be interesting additions to the supporting cast.

Adding KD to the Raps would be great, but the price would be too steep and we’d have to give up pieces that would help us contend with him on the roster. I think the Suns have the best package that Brooklyn can get while still staying competitive

Good moves for the Raptors. No reason not to keep those guys on highly-tradeable, below-the-tax contracts. Make a good signing with the MLE, and that could pretty-much do it for the Raptors offseason.

Raptors stay on-brand and pick up tall, long, 3&D wing Otto Porter Jr.

As a player acquisition, I like it! Contract wise, I don't like that it's a 1+1 PO structure, as if he works out in Toronto, he can opt out after a year and the Raptors have no rights to resign, except using an exception again.

Gobert to the Wolves is interesting... They gave up a lot, and as good as Gobert is, he's such a unique roster fit that it makes building around him hard. I'm not sure it moves the needle for the Wolves enough to get them clearly out of the play-in tier... Clippers, Nuggets, Pelicans will all be better than last year if healthy. Utah's the only team that looks like they're dropping back. But maybe that's part of the calculus: at some point they need to push their chips in, and the West isn't getting weaker any time in the foreseeable future.

Woj: Raptors are lurking around Durant

There's no way the Raptors include Scottie. I can see them offering something like two of OG/GTJ/Siakam/Fred + multiple 1sts

Anything that doesn’t cost Barnes or Siakam, you do it.

You don’t trade Barnes for Durant.

You trade for Durant to play with Barnes.

IMO, anyway.

A superstar trade is always quantity for quality, and if the star is coming back our way, the quantity has to go to Brooklyn.

Is this just Durant realizing he is wanting to be "the guy" in the market he plays in, after previously thinking a stacked squad with superstar teammates what he wanted?

Westbrook in OKA
Curry and Warriors
Irving/Harden in NJ

He'd get that admiration if coming to Toronto.

I'd be so freaking pumped to watch Durant and Barnes play together. I'd commit to watching Raptor games like I do the Flames.
