Perlini might interest someone
Greg Wyshynski
@wyshynski
Brendan Perlini, Madison Bowey, Christoffer Ehn not qualified by Red Wings. All become UFAs.
Ben Pope @BenPopeCST
I can confirm reports that the Blackhawks:
- DID give a qualifying offer to Dylan Strome
- DID NOT give a qualifying offer to Malcolm Subban
Subban will be a UFA Friday, though he could still theoretically re-sign. Strome remains an RFA and does not have arbitration rights.

Duclair
Wallmark
Hinostroza
are all names that interest me that weren’t qualified.

I badly want the Flames to sign Duclair, but the moment he shows something that could be slightly construed as an attitude problem, this board will fall apart because while much of the board likes to pretend they are enlightened, the moment a black man shows a sign of not doing things the white way, they grab their ropes and look for the nearest tree.

Perlini is a big kid who had a great year a few seasons ago. Bowey is interesting - a RHS who seems to have some offence.

Not surprised you bring race into something for no reason again. Essentially calling all of CP racist this time instead of just one poster.

Again?
How many times have I brought up race in any thread that wasn't about race?
Let me answer that for you. When Duclair wasn't qualified. And guess what? I'm not the only one to suggest this.

Most of that was about my personal experience on this board.

I think if you look at Duclair's track record - and even the decision to represent himself - there are a lot of question marks.
Playing the race card and calling people out on it is pretty low ball

No interest in Duclair because he sacrifices all defense for his offense

hahaha what?
My household (of mixed races) is curious to know what is the "white way"?
What a terrible post.

When was the last time you saw a 25 year old white player cut loose after a 23 goal season because of their "attitude".......

The white way is a pretty common term for how black people are expected to behave around whites.

Madison Bowey is another interesting name.
Has anyone here seem much of his play? If so, what do you think?

Not sure what your agenda or motive is, I clearly missed something because your post seems way out of left field to me..... Flames fans have been pretty supportive of all races wearing Flames silks in my experience. Part of what makes me proud to be a Flames fan.
Edit: ok I just saw the Duclair thread, clearly I missed something.

Your on a board that has a split vote on whether the best skater (non-goalie) ever on the local team is a short man or a black man. I still want Josh Ho-Sang on this team because I think that the 'attitude' problems New York found is complete nonsense.
Duclair is a free agent right now because he chose to be his own agent. That's pretty much the whole story, because the owner of the Senators is a notorious loose cannon, and some would say that the GM isn't far behind.
Duclair made his own bed on this one. Or, he played a deeper game and wanted to go UFA, and made that happen. We really don't know.
The White Way sounds like a sequel to the Will Farrell movie, Get Hard.

In the old thread about systemic racism, I called out a white poster a racist for repeatedly marginalizing black victims of police brutality. Ever since then, I've been dog piled on any time I say anything remotely "uppity" and it is not uncommon for me to receive drive-by attacks from people like Fire already did in this thread, or the odd harassing PM.
So like I said, they might pretend they are okay with blacks, they aren't unless we keep our mouth shut and head down.
I wasn't here when there were Kane to Calgary rumors, but I can bet there was a very large group against it because of his "character" and "attitude", which is just coded PC language.

He wasnt cut for his attitude - he was cut because he thought he was worth more than what the Senators wanted to pay

He is definitely worth more than his QO was. So, that doesn't make sense.

That happens all the damn time and players aren't let go because of it. They trade them, or keep negotiating longer than 2 weeks into the off-season, they don't have something done to them that could hurt the value of their next contract.
