Thumbs down What is the worst movie you have ever seen?

So what is the biggest piece of trash you have ever watched? For me it has to be a horror movie called Don't Go In The Woods. It is so bad it will make you sear out your eyes with a hot poker while ramming screwdrivers through your ear drums as it is a musical too. Nothing like someone who is about to be killed by a crazed lunatic suddenly breaking into song. Just terrible! So what have you got?

Battlefield Earth is the obvious nomination, but really any movie with Hugh Grant would be pretty high up on my list.

Assuming we are limiting choices to mainstream movies and not super obscure titles, the undisputed winner is Toys with Robin Williams. What an awful piece of crap that was.

If you don't mind, I would like to set at least one parameter.

No 'B' movies that were clearly made on a shoestring budget. There has to be at least some intention by the producers that people were going to see these movies in a theatre or festival. That should eliminate all of the MST3K and Red Letter Media movies.

The Last Kiss with Zach Braff. So bad it poisoned my views on Scrubs.

I’ve always said The Blair Witch is the worst movie I’ve ever seen. I hated everything about it. I know many people like it but I’m still angry that I paid money to see it.

Runner up is Say Goodbye to Broad Street starring Sir Paul McCartney. So bad.

Shaolin Soccer or Kung Fu Hustle
The Heat is third.
If documentaries are included then the Ben Stein Intelligent Design one wins easily.

Yes. I realize I'm probably in the minority, but can't see how anybody would be entertained by those.

I understand if Steven Chow isn't your thing, his movies could be pretty bad. I actually don't mind the style mash-up, and really enjoyed Kung Fu Hustle.

Shoalin Soccer was a step down, and I stopped watching when we moved solidly into the kids movie spectrum.

xXx in the movie theatre for me is still the high bar for ####. I went to see it with a friend and we both laughed at scenes where I imagine the scriptwriter thought it was "cool". A movie siskel and ebert described as "unrelentingly stupid". A phrase that has entered my lexicon since.

The thing that I like about this thread idea is that everyones background in film is going to be different. I've seen thousands (upon thousands) of movies and my perspective is going to be a lot different from someone who's firmly in the hundreds.

I find it more difficult to come up with a 'worst' movie than a 'best'. There are those that didn't stay in my consciousness at all, which I can dismiss, and then those that were a disappointment, but not necessarily bad. And then those that hurt my feelings to watch, that I've mentally tried to suppress.

The worst movie I ever paid to see in the theatre was Independence Day: Resurgence.

Other recent movies I absolutely hated include Suicide Squad, A Cure for Wellness, The Secret Life of Pets, and Pitch Perfect 3.

As much as i want to agree with you about xXx the newest xXx movie made the first one look like an Oscar winner. Unless you are referring to the recently released one, then you and I are in full agreement that it is the worst movie ever.
