Former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow II was jailed without bail Friday after pleading not guilty to multiple counts of kidnapping, rape and other charges.
The 34-year-old Winslow was ordered to return to San Diego County Superior Court on June 25 for a preliminary hearing.
Prosecutors say Winslow began a crime spree last March that included rapes, kidnappings, indecent exposure and burglary and continued until just before his arrest this week.
According to charging documents, he allegedly kidnapped and raped a 54-year-old woman on March 13 and then a 59-year-old woman on May 13.
On May 24, prosecutors say, he exposed himself in a public place, the location of which wasn't disclosed.
The burglary charges involved alleged break-ins at the home of a 71-year-old woman on June 1 and an 86-year-old woman on June 7.
Winslow was originally arrested June 7 in the burglary case. After posting bail, he was arrested again Thursday on the additional charges. On Friday, Superior Court Judge Robert Dahlquist ordered him held without bail.

The NFL is planning to suspend Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston the first three games of the season for violating the league's personal conduct policy, per league sources.
The planned suspension stems from an alleged incident with an Uber driver in Scottsdale, Arizona, in March 2016.
The league began its investigation in November 2017 when a woman, who identified herself as "Kate," told BuzzFeed that Winston reached over and grabbed her crotch while waiting at a drive-thru at Los Betos Mexican Food at 2 a.m.

The Titans would have taken Jameis had they been picking #1, and it's not like Mariota has been anything great, neither looks like anything other than another Tannehill at best. But the Bucs actually get kinda lucky here that he went full scumbag now because they aren't locked into a long term deal with him, and now they likely won't be. Titans will probably have to fork out $25 million+ a year for a guy who just had a non-rookie season with more INTs than TDs.

Police are investigating the discovery of a body at the home of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, police sources confirmed to ESPN's Dianna Russini.
Police are treating it as a homicide investigation, sources said.
The investigation was first reported by TMZ.
Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo confirmed that an investigation was taking place at the address.
"The deceased is not the owner of the residence, but the identity of the male decedent cannot be released until next of kin have been notified," Calo said.

William Jenkins, the brother of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter after a body was found at the player's house in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
The body was identified as Roosevelt Rene, 25, a Jenkins family friend who had been living at the house, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
The office announced that William Jenkins was in custody, adding that the investigation is ongoing, and the defendant is presumed innocent. Sources told ESPN's Josina Anderson that Jenkins was taken into custody in Geneva, New York, and was initially held in Ontario County, pending extradition to New Jersey.

Seems like Kam Chancellor has announced his retirement. Figured as much when he got a bad next injury in November.
Old school safety, with him covering over the top (along with Thomas after a few years) and Sherman taking away the side of the field, really was the basis for the Seahawks defense and success.
Plenty of big hits over his career, Hardiesty in Cleveland, but his two hits against Vernon Davis in the height of 49ers Seahawks rivalry are the most noteable.

Great player and should have been the SB MVP. He won’t be a Hall of Famer, like Thomas and Sherman, but was one of the best SS the game has seen in a while.

If the allegations against LeSean McCoy are true, his career is over.

Wow. I just seen the picture. He also allegedly hit his child and beat his dog to kidney failure. If all of it is true he should be in jail.

Good player but it sounds like he's got major anger issues off the field. You have to imagine this will spell the end of his career if it's proven he's involved.

Are they even accusing him of doing it personally? I thought I'd seen that the accusation was that he hired people to do it. In which case, how could you know?

He feels she has taken him for money, jewelry, a residence, etc. I get that but this is not how one deals with this kind of thing.

extremely happy that the Steelers didn't sign Bell long-term. Think it's better to have him play out this year and then let him walk. At some point, the wheels will come flying off and I'd rather see him ruin another team's cap when it happens.

49ers are in town this weekend for the Play60 initiative. There's an all ages fan event on Friday at Home And Away on 17th from 5:50pm to 7:30pm. On Saturday they are doing the actual Play60 clinic at SAIT.
And on the topic of the 49ers, at their Oct 21 Sunday Night Football game against the Rams, they will be wearing their '94 throwback jerseys. Time to break out my old Jerry Rice jersey.
