There is some debate on that. Sounded like they were late in submitting all the paperwork and then just said afterwards the convenient excuse that Fifas demands were too high.

Regardless, hopefully Canada gets a mercy spot. No reason not to with 48. Though if any national governing body can louse this up its the CSA. I'd hire KPMG to look at the game sheets to make sure they arent putting on ineligible players.

The CSA has their 15 minutes now. Plus a boat load of cash they'll squander and spend long before a match is played here.

That said, here we are, and oldie but a goodie. 1001 to 1 would be a generous betting line though.

One of many who is too boring; thinks that there should be rules regarding grammar in custom user titles, and also makes moderators wonder if there is a charachter limit here. I mean come on- you would think that would be a limitation in the software

With 48 spots and with how close we've been in the past, would Canada not be a good bet to qualify without a bye anyway?

Hmm, I thought we had been closer a bit more often. Too many rounds, too little coverage, bad memory. lol Here's hoping for the bye!
