Jeez they put massive spoilers for Once Upon a Time in the sound editing clip. Whose moron idea was that? These idiots realize not everyone has seen the movie right?
The movie is clearly two shots. There's a time jump intentional cut half way through. Not sure why it's being hyped as one shot. I hope it doesn't win TBH.
I think Parasite is gonna win. The way people love this movie.

There's more cuts than you think.

Just watched 1917 last night. Didn't see any of the other nominations this year, but I can definitely see why it won cinematography and visual effects, deserved it for the trench and no mans land scenes alone. Story was meh so glad it didn't get best picture, but great movie nontheless

For future years the academy really needs to figure out the diversity thing.
AMPAS is filled with old white men, like the tweet Scorp shared, who don’t watch half the movies and are all about being wooed for their vote. They have no interest in any diversity whatsoever.
Then they get embarrassed in the media when the noms are announced.
Finally the show is filled with the weird forced diversity. I say that because some, not all, of the celebrations of diversity tonight felt very awkward. Sometimes it even felt mean spirited.
I’m happy there was so much diversity in the show and a focus on the various filmmakers but I could do without all the patting themselves on the back. It makes everything seem so insincere. Like it’s condescending applause.

Oscar's are pretenders. Cannes is where real diversity is, has been for decades.

I was able to see all of the movies nominated for Best Picture. Cheered hard for "Parasite". It was by far the best picture of the year. So many layers in that movie, it's unreal...

Pretty awesome to see Taika Waititi win his first Oscar.
Interesting Jojo beat out Joker and The Irishman for best adapted screen play. Is this the Academy saying it is the better film or just that the director got more potential out of the source material?
