Because Reinhart's game isn't what Edmonton needs, also 1" and 25lbs is a lot of difference when you are protecting the puck at the next level.
That being said they will probably pick Reinhart....because Edmonton is no......

And Leon's game is? I can understand the argument of Leon being more of a playmaker but both guys are pretty passive in the physical game. I think Reinhart is better defensively.
If it is Leon vs Bennett, then I fully understand taking Leon from Edmonton's perspective.

Because he's got the size. Those 25 lbs that don't seem like much of a difference really do matter in the NHL.

I feel weight is manageable though isn't it? Saying a guy is 25 pounds heavier right now seems like a short term way of thinking.

I really want us to make the biggest moves today. Not sure why, but this year more than ever I want us to do it.

I am hoping the Flames does not trade up and give up some prospect player and their 1st pick. I am all satisfied them picking 4th. My preference will be Ekblad, Reinhart, Bennett or I will be okay if they pick Draisaitl if those 3 mentioned are not available anymore. I will be ticked off if they pick Dal Colle or Ritchie on their 4th. Those two might be good but Flames needed a playmaking centre or even a big defenseman.

Could anyone tell me if the 1st pick is made at 5pm? Or is that just when coverage begins?

Well if they both add weight they'll still be 25 lbs apart.
Draisaitl doesn't necessarily play physical but much like Jagr he uses his size and reach to protect the puck. As Burke says he's got a big ass and that helps him shield the puck away from defenders. Reinhart doesn't play that way, isn't as much a puck protection centre. So yes, Draisaitl isn't the most physical guy but he still uses size as part of his game way more than Reinhart does. And both players still have room to add weight. Draisaitl will likely always be the slightly bigger and stronger guy.

I wonder what happens if ekblad and Draisatl go 1-2 , what do the oil do? Does Mactavish freeze up or do they run to a 7-11 to grab the draft issue of hockey news?

Coverage begins. Bettman will address the crowd, may announce trades, so it's probably at least 5-10 minutes before the first team is on the clock.

Coverage at 5. I would bet the first pick wont fall until the 520-530 ballpark.

I keep hearing that Draisaitl is the top choice for a lot of teams. I wonder if he supplants Ekblad, Bennett, Reinhart and goes No. 1.

The riot in Calgary tonight would make the 2011 Vancouver riot look like a campfire.
