Default Need Help! Converting Hi8 to Digital

Does anyone on here have any fast solution for this? My in laws are returning to Europe and want their Hi8 tapes put on DVD. I can't pass it through my Digital Camera or record it directly because I cannot connect the RCA jack from the old camera to my new one. Does anyone have a Digital8 camera to rent out?? Any ideas are welcome.

Make sure the computer you connect it to has enough RAM else the video might skip. Its worked for my dad for both Beta and VHS. I was the favorite son before I bought this for him, and that hasnt changed since. What has changed are the number of home videos we now have to watch as a result

The curse with Analog to Digital, which I'm sure you're aware of, is that you'll have to record real time.

I did this with my Hi8 with my DVD recorder. I would set a tape up, hit play, and record on the DVD recorder, and head to bed. I'd come back down in the morning, and hit stop... and delete the tail end of the recording.

This program works great!! Very simple install. Hook up the cables and it works right away. I'll do the editing in Adobe Premier Elements.

Thanks again MyK
