Michelle Pfieffer

Fabulous Baker Boys
Russia House
Frankie and Johnny
Batman Returns
Love Field
Age of Innocence

Six in a row, to make up for Russia House and Frankie and Johnny being good but not great.

I agree and that sort of works both ways- I just threw in Apocalypse now as a fun add on, obviously Ford didn't really need it for his elite run

on the other hand, a few actors might get denied a good 5 run because of a throw away or cameo role they had in a less than stellar movie

Yeah, I think excluding any bit parts or cameos that show up on actors’ filmography timeline could help some create some streaks. It just takes more digging.

Harrison Ford in Apocalypse Now is weird because even though he’s a pretty minor character, when you look at imdb he’s listed near the too with all of the main cast just because he’s Harrison Ford.

You can start it with Tequila Sunrise and Dangerous Liaisons and it’s even longer
The former isn’t great but 13 year old Jiri fell in love with her in that movie

Steve Martin had a great run from Roxanne to Grand Canyon including Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and LA story
But right there in the middle, ruining it all is My Blue Heaven

and I don't think a voice role in cartoons should count.

That's a good one. There's a guy who is actually selective.

Where is The Ballad of Jack & Rose? It wasn’t really a great movie and came between Gangs of NY and There Will Be Blood. I mean, it was okay, but kind of an outlier and wouldn’t be a claim to fame for any actor in that movie.

I’d give a pass to Robin Williams though, since his voice roles are better than most actors live performances.

Seeing Rick Moranis in the thumb for My Blue Heaven had me look him up.

Little Shop of Horrors
Spaceballs
Ghostbusters II
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Parenthood

A decent run of good movies, with GBII being just OK.

Other great movies in and around that run, too:

All of Me
Three Amigos
Little Shop of Horrors
Parenthood
Father of the Bride

EDIT: I guess you could argue he had 6 in a row with:

Three Amigos
Little Shop of Horrors
Roxanne
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Parenthood

Yeah Denzel has a similar problem.

The Hurricane
Remember the Titans
Training Day
John Q. (I liked it).

Sandwiched between junk. Edit: oh I didn’t realize Antwone Fisher was next, I misread. Although I don’t know anything about that movie.

He did it for his wife, who directed it. Does that still count?

It’s part of his repertoire.

Honestly, a lot of these lists are 3 or 4 well-renowned movies and 1 of 2 “meh” movies that broke up the streaks. I am kind of disappointed, because I thought for sure there would be some good streaks for Jim Carrey or Dennis Hopper to be found.

Here's a good one
Tim Robbins

The Player
Bob Roberts
Short Cuts
Hudsucker Proxy (the weakest but under-rated)
Shawshank Redemption.

Sir.

Training Day
John Q
Antwon Fisher
Out of Time
Man on Fire

Fits this five consecutive film run quite well.

you could try, but Dirty rotten Scoundrels is not great movie.

different tastes, though. I don't think Little Shop of Horrors was a great movie either, or Parenthood, or Roxanne, actually.
