VAR and reffing is the reason we miss out on a shot at CL this season. Oh well. I am sure every fanbase has the same excuse, but I don't recall a single decision going the Wolves' way this season.

I realise I'm a few days late here, but really Liverpool? The one time we could all enjoy seeing you score at will against a terrible team and you mail it in? I'm not saying I expected better, but I did hope for more from them!

Wow, Chelsea stepping up their keeper pursuit, for the pinnacle.
Simeone admitted, Chelsea/Abramovich want Oblak, with his €120m buy-out
Abramovich is seemingly all-in to contend for the title. Rice, Chillwell, Havertz, etc - apparently they are pursuing everyone. It's just stolen/ill-gotten money - might as well enjoy spending it I suppose.

better get used to it ... CAS destroyed football as we know it on Monday. With FFP basically dead, sugardaddy and oil clubs don't even have to pretend any more. Just wait until the Saudis have taken over Newcastle.
great chance now for Brentford too. Would certainly take them over West Brom, which has always felt pretty meh and boring to me. Brentfords attack with Benrahma and Watkins is interesting though.
I assume if they got Oblak they would sell Kepa but imagine if they didn't - don't want to take such a big loss on him, no takers, etc. etc.
That would be €200m worth of goalies on 1 team!!!!
And thats a large issue that Liverpool had too. You have Alisson and then you basically need a 'Bargain Basement' backup who knows they're not going to see much action.
Two big-money goaltenders? Thats going to be a nightmare.

Liverpool’s backup Adrian made some calamities recently though. They should grab Reina (again) as he won’t stay with Villa. Too good for the championship.
Milan has Begovic & Donnarumma (and his older brother)

I appreciate your point, but by the same token, if the problem cannot be fixed, I would rather have 4 super-clubs than 2, and 8 rather than 6. So, in that sense I welcome Newcastle trying to elbow their way into the top set. You have the usuals, and then if you add Newcastle, and Wolves/LCFC can continue their growth, you have a league where half the teams can compete. It's why EPL is the by far best league. At least there are a lot of plutocrats that want to be part of it.

Definitely this. If FFP isn’t going to work, and it’s clearly not, the more the merrier. And hopefully Levy/Joe Lewis get off their wallet and play with the big boys.
Not news, but this popped up in my YouTube feed. Had seen it before but seeing it again reminded me of how remarkable it was. A guy gets fired after 7 weeks on the job of the previous champions, and goes on TV THAT night for a 25 minutes interview with the guy he replaced.
Cant fathom that today, in any sport. Imagine Pep taking the England Job one offseason, Jose going to City (let's say Pep had won the league) and getting fired by the Shiekh 8 matches in, and going on TV that same night with Pep to have it out?
Of course,Clough went on to win 4 league titles and two European Championships with Forest a few years later.
And that took a deep dive into his first interview on the same program when he got the Leeds job. Look at the entitled press at the beginning (pipe smoking ftw) and shuffle uncomfortably at the very end.
