I realize now that I hate Vancouver Canucks city-burning fans more than this actual team. This particular Canucks team is sort of fun to watch. I think Vegas will send them out of the bubble but it might be a fun series to watch.

I'll say Knights in 5? I keep thinking the Canucks will be in "happy to be here mode". That has to happen at some point right?

Anyway, Lehner is better than Binnington, so that should be all that's needed.

Maybe but what about Markstrom?

I hate both teams, and while these Canucks are harder to hate, I would still rather light my hair on fire than see them win the Cup. Hopefully they kick the crap out of each other in 7 highly entertaining games to watch, and then whoever emerges gets flattened by Colorado.

I say this every year, but the “last Canadian team” mentality is such horse####. I would rather die than watch any other Canadian team win before the Flames. Screw all those clowns.

That's kind of where I'm at. I like the Canucks as a team, but can't stand Canucks fans.

Should be entertaining series. Canucks surprised me in taking out the Blues but I think the Knights will win this in 6 games.

Blues were a shell of themselves and just looked to be going through the motions so it was a big win but not as impressive as some think. Jake Allen? Really?

I won't lie though, I'll be pulling for the Canucks to win this series though so we can see all the bandwagon fans come out in this city and I can get back to hating them like the way things should be. But I don't believe the Canucks have the depth on D to make this a competitive series. Markstrom will have to be in God mode for this series.

The Blues were the best team in the Conference, and second best in the league this year, if they looked like a shell of themselves that's because the Canucks made them look like that, I give you it's been a strange year but if anything the break should help a returning champion, they were rested in a way most cup winning teams couldnt be.

Agreed on the fans. I saw some on twitter saying they didn't want any bandwagon fans because of "how we were treated in 2011". Apparently they can't put some critical thought into why they were treated that way?

I was reminded why I disliked the Canucks. It was easy to dislike the players they had at the time and their fans were just awful.

Knights in five. Canucks have the edge on special teams, but Vegas is much stronger defensively and quick as hell.

Yes, the Blues and Wild were strong defensive teams too. But they were both slower and the Canucks exploited that.

He doesn't have to be. He just has to not be a sieve.

I don't really understand why people are saying that the Blues were a shell of themselves. They dominated large stretches of just about every game in that series. They were the better team in game 1 until the third. They were the better team for most of game 2, and lost in overtime. Games 3 and 4 weren't particularly close as far as flow of play goes. Game 5, they were nearly up 4-1 and the only reason they lost was Markstrom. And the last game, which was probably their weakest of the series, they still out-attempted Vancouver 70something to 40something. They had the puck the whole time. When Binnington was in net, he let them down.

If Binnington didn't spring a bunch of leaks, or if Markstrom wasn't outstanding, the Blues would have moved on. In this next series, even if Markstrom remains outstanding, Lehner will not be a sieve. And the Knights, as a team in front of him, are a lot like the Blues, except faster. Thus, they'll win.

The players might be decent young guys that can play an entertaining brand of hockey but that fanbase has shown why it can't (and shouldn't) have nice things. Shame that they play for a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Nah dude, they were garbage in the round robin as well. Something changed between the end of the season and the restart, and they just never regained the form needed to beat a team in the playoffs.

Now that Burrows and Bieksa are gone, they’re not as hate-worthy.
