I didn't realize Nichushkin was so defensively responsible. He really turned his career around, good for him

How on earth does Auston Matthews get a first place vote?

Congrats to Sean Couturier. Well deserved.

I don’t know Mike Kelly from TSN who is usually pretty on top of this stuff said he wouldn’t have had Nichushkin in his top 200.

Whoever this Russ Cohen chap is certainly caught the attention of Kevin Lowe. He gave RNH a 3rd place vote. 3rd!

The only time RNH appeared in the 850 names on the sheet. Even the Oiler schill writers didn’t have RNH on there.

Brian Hedger of the Columbus Dispatch.

People should lose their voting ability if they pick someone ridiculous.

This is the same group of people that Seravalli whined and complained about requiring inner bubble access for, to supposedly ensure unbiased reporting (when it was really about being a bunch of jock sniffers).

Whoever gave Draisaitl a 5th place vote should never be allowed to WATCH hockey again, never mind report on it.

580 forwards played in the league this season. Draisaitl was 579/580 in Even Strength goals against.

I can't remember where I was reading it, but Nichushkin statistically made the players around him significantly better this year. The ones that voted for him were number crunchers.

McDavid snubbed again. When will the NHL stop with the anti-Oiler bias and give them a fair chance?

Gaudreau for Couturier? Has to happen now to make sense. Right?

This is deserved. Bergeron is mostly getting nominated based on reputation at this point.

Anthony Mantha with the best Relative Corsi For % with more than a few games played. After him it's, gasp, Elias Pettersson with similar number of games played to Couturier. Pettersson is going to be locking these trophies up in no time.

No only do I think the right guy won, but I am pleasantly surprised to see how much support there was for Cirelli, who absolutely deserved a nomination and will likely get one next year if all goes similarly in terms of his play. Dude had more first place votes than O'Reilly did.

Disappointing that Bergeron continues to get so much support based on name value, but hey, it's the PHWA, what else is new.
