So we can eliminate two more teams from the CFP discussion, Wake Forest and Michigan State. Oregon better turn things around in a hurry or they are done too. Ohio State looks very good right now.

What an end to the half. I love the aggressive coaching from Utah to call that timeout.

Quite the beat down Utah layed on Oregon. That should take care of the Pac12 in regards to playoffs. ACC is out too. Playoff is realistically down to 8 teams now although two more will be eliminated next week when OU/ Oklahoma St and OSU/Michigan play.

On this topic, it's staggering how much schools are paying coaches not to coach. Over $500 million this year alone for football and basketball and that does not count any of the firings this season.

'Auburn ($31.2 million) and Nebraska ($25.8 million) led the way in dead money payments, followed by Texas ($21.5 million), Ole Miss ($20.4 million) and Kansas ($20 million).'

Both Wilson and Brown should have been ejected there. Michigan taking Ohio State to the woodshed.

Even though QB play has become significantly more important over the years, you will still win more often by dominating the trenches. Michigan just whipping Ohio State down there, so even though McNamara is pretty meh it doesn't really matter.

Agree on the first sentence - suddenly less sure about the second

Scoreline not really reflective of how dominant Michigan has been. They are moving the Ohio State Dline like 5 yards down the field every snap, it is a destruction on that front.

Were down to 7 contenders, will be down to 6 after tonight. Michigan has looked very good today, way better than I expected. I knew their D was good, but their O line has been lights out today.

Haha. What? This guy just said the rankings have been turned upside down. Uh no. 5 beating 2 is not a shocking outcome. All it does is push Ohio state to probably 7th and Michigan to 2nd or 3rd.

I could see Georgia and Bama being 1/2. Sets up a monumental sec championship and would justify leaving Georgia top 4 even if they lose. Then Michigan at 3 and Ok st* or Cincy at 4.

*if they win tonight. If OU wins I’m not sure what happens because the committee doesn’t like them. I doubt they move up higher than 5th after today and then leapfrog Cincy only if they win next week too.

That is the weakest Alabama team in a long time and I can see them being destroyed by Georgia next week. Oklahoma State, if they win out, should be the fourth seed with Cinncinnati at 3, Michigan at 2 and Georgia at 1.

So barring a miracle Bama’s out of the playoff. But what happens if they beat Georgia? I gotta think Georgia stays in considering everyone else has 1 loss.

Hard to beat your rival when you gift them 16 points.
