2020 Draft lottery Phase 1 results - a placeholder team has the 1st overall pick
so potentially losing the qualifying round will net a team a 1st overall pick. each loser of the qualifying round has a 12.5% chance at it
8) Buffalo
7) NJ
6) Anaheim
5) Ottawa - Own pick
4) Detroit
3) Ottawa - via SJ
2) Los Angeles
1) placeholder team

LA moving up sucks. Oh, and screw that "mystery team" crap ... that whole system is a mess this year.
rooted for Detroit. Dropping down to 4 is brutal.

Montreal's chances aren't any higher than Pittsburgh's or Edmonton's.

At least the 8 eliminated teams all have equal odds at this top 3 pick. I thought it was going to be set up that whichever team is eliminate first is "Team A", but there's a separate lottery between those 8 teams.
