TJ Brodie, Sam Bennett, Andrew Mangiapane, and Sean Monahan are on the ice today.

Looks like we probably won't have any players that opt out.

We have to keep Bennett because he's the only one who can carry the Lanny facial hair torch on our road to the cup.

...he's also one of the few who actually produce and make an impact in the playoffs.

Are there any players not in town yet? I haven't been following that closely but Tkachuk/Hanifin (US) and Lindholm (Sweden) are three names that come to mind.

Francis says Hanifin has been skating in Calgary but I haven't seen any media featuring him yet from the Flames

"Left the Flames’ last game with an upper-body injury. No update was ever provided, but he is skating with the team informally and is expected to be fine."

Over the weekend Backlund said that Lindholm was expected to be in town Monday. I trust that he is now in Calgary.

But I also was digging for information about Matthew Tkachuk and cannot find anything current. In May he was interviewed and said he did not want to comment on the play-in format until it was ratified. That is the last news I have seen about him.

Treliving just mentioned on a season ticket holder conference that all of the players on the Flames' list are now in Calgary. Great news.

Watching those drills and seeing Dube briefly man he's quick.
Jets are in for a helluva battle.
Our D is so much better and if they can't hem us in and we transition quickly thru the neutral zone the Jets are done.

I don't care if Hellebuck stands on his head ....get traffic in front of him we win and move on to the real hockey.

Get thru the jets with some effort , build that confidence and get that swagger back. Keep reminding themselves of losing badly to the Avs last year.

Damn excited right now . Keep our bubble healthy and watch the boys ground the jets and move on.

I think it's gonna be nasty . Discipline will be the key.

Great news, I was worried about Tkachuk as I thought I recognized him in that infamous Ozark pool party video sandwiched between two COVID-19 hotties.

For those with access to The Athletic, Rasmus Andersson gets high praise in this article as one of the NHL’s best puck moving defencemen. I think he should get more ice time and Travis Hamonic should get less.

Gio - Brodie
Hanifin - Anderssson
Gustafson - Hamonic

I hope that is completely obvious. It should be...

Yup, and the Flames have three others on the list below Rasmus.

Hanifin
Gio
Brodie

Calgary may not have the best zone entry defensemen but they have very good puck moving defensemen.
