Same boat as a few posters. I wish Iggy nothing that the best, and now that he's on a team I don't despise (Pens) I hope he gets his cup. That said I'm rather emotionless about him coming back to play against my team, thought I would care more than I do, but I don't.
Big Flames win, hopefully they can pull one out against a flu stricken Bruins team.
My dad has no interest in going to the game tonight. He argues that Flames hockey has become more exciting since Iginla left, because they aren't always trying to feed one player (him) the puck.
When I'm at the game, I will stand and applaud a player who made a great contribution to the Flames over many years. However, I think the point my dad made is valid.

I had almost been able to convince myself the same thing. Then I watched the AC tribute video. :P
Calgary, AB – As part of the Flames Better Halves annual holiday fundraising initiative, the Flame Better Halves will be in the concourse in section 227 tonight, Tuesday, December 10th and on Thursday, December 12th collecting shoeboxes full of women’s items to be delivered to Inn from the Cold during the holiday season. Fans bringing shoeboxes are requested to ensure they are not wrapped as they enter the building. Autographed pucks will also be sold in benefit of the Inn from the Cold shoebox initiative.
The Flames will also highlight work done in the community by their charitable arm, the Flames Foundation for Life. As part of the evening a ceremonial puck drop will take place with a representative from the Kids Cancer Care Foundation’s Camp Kindle and a representative from the Canadian Red Cross. This June the Flames Foundation for Life made a $1 million donation to the Canadian Red Cross in benefit of flood relief efforts in Alberta and a $1 million commitment to Camp Kindle through the Kids Cancer Care Foundation.
Also as part of the game night, Flames Foundation for Life t-shirts will be on sale in FanAttic stores for $24.99 will proceeds being donated to the Flames Foundation for Life. As attendees enter then building the 50-50 pot will be started at $100,000 guaranteeing one lucky fan leaves with at least $50,000.
Inn from the Cold provides assistance to homeless families. The Flames Foundation for Life is the charitable arm of the Calgary Flames through which millions of dollars in funding have already been directed to education, health and wellness initiatives and grassroots and amateur sports.
bet he doesn't miss all the media attention, especially when he has 5 goals this season
I think you could see in the last few years that the burden was getting heavy for him and all the slow start questions, poor team results, etc were starting to weigh on him. He's probably having a lot more fun now just being a part of a team instead of carrying the team.

Big cheer at the start of the game after that I hope the flames kick their asses
The major difference is that their team is still winning, even with Iginla's slow start. Here the offence depended so heavily on him that his slow starts coincided with slow starts for the entire team. In Boston he's still contributing in other ways, so they're still very happy with him as a player.
