Anderson has carved out quite a nice career for himself. I always kind of figured he would just fade away after his Flames stint….but I guess it just goes to show how damn long goalies can take to get their career going.

I don't think the sens will be as bad as a lot of people are saying. I think Anderson ends up having another good year...

Interesting. That is not exactly a starting goalie's salary, more of a 1B salary. I think you will slowly see Lehner take over in Ottawa and Anderson (who isn't that young anymore) will slowly turn into a top notch backup like Giguere did.

Good deal, but I wonder when Lehner will push Anderson out of the 1st goaltender position.

i'm not sold on the senators goaltending. There were times they looked solid, but then last season there were definite streaks of sub-par performances.

Senators are weak offensively, their d is suspect and trending towards more youth (which typically comes wiht growing pains) so there's a lot of pressure on the goaltending to pick up the slack in order to get the Ws. I'd take the "under" on how many times that happens this season.

I see Anderson as a 1A/1B just due to his trouble staying healthy for an entire season. He's been hampered with mostly minor injuries the last few years if I recall correctly.

Sold deal even if Lehner ends up getting more starts in a year or two.

He wasn't that great last season so I'm a little surprised the Senators committed to him for three years but maybe they are hoping that his numbers were due to the team not exactly playing committed defensively.

Given his play last year, I don't think it is.

but if he keeps up with the whole "bad year-good year-bad year-good year" thing then they'll have him for 2 good years!
