Better get them done now, you don't want them using the Cup win as leverage in the summer.

Let's lock Tkachuk for a nice 5.5M for 6 years and call it a day.

If Riddich agent doesn’t translate a 17-4 record into a 3.5 million + contract then he should find better representation!

7.5+ easy, given precedent transactions

If we get swept first round of the playoffs I will 100 percent blame this post right here.

Hahaha, I figured the /s tag wasn't necessary.

I think they should hold off with Rittich until the season is over. There's been a trend of late with teams shooting high on him. I feel the team needs to ensure it's not a fatal flaw before committing money and term.

I am really, really hoping that somehow Treliving is going to put on his wizarding hat and work out a deal to get Tkachuk done within the "Gio cap". Yes, I know that 6.75M would be the deal of the century, but I think it's important to maintain a team-first structure and mentality. Tkachuk is extremely important to the team, but is he more important than Gio or Johnny? The Flames are at the tipping point where if salaries escalate much past their current threshold, it will be hard to maintain a competitive team. I hope Tkachuk sees it the same way as I feel this group is just getting started and it would suck to see them split up because of financial constraints.

If the Gio-cap exists, Tkachuk is going 6 years max.

If the Gio cap doesn't exist, Tkachuk could go 7 or 8 years in the $7-$7.5M range.

I think they should wait to see how Rittich handles a full work load. Tkachuk should get signed earlier, but wait on BSD until summer.
