Instigator penalty automatically comes with a 10 minute misconduct.

He likes to play insider from time to time. It justifies sportsnet reasoning to why he’s on tv

Think Bennett got 5 for fighting, 2 for instigating and a 10 minute misconduct.

bennet was in the dressing room riding a bike and staying warmed up instead of sitting on his butt in the box, he didn't see any of the goals scored, and like AC said bennet was out and warmed up at his first chance. good coaching letting someone else sit in the box

Bennett’s hands and face were also cut up from the fight, was there really any need to run him out there cold as well?

You don't trade a good roster player away simply to give another player more ice-time. That's straight up R-word.

Give Kypreos a break. Bells are still ringing in his head from his last ice time.
Thanks Ryan VandenBussche. Great Job

Actually someone only has to sit in the box for the 2 minute minor. And after that was over there was no one sitting in the box...

Why is Kypreos still on TV? The worst thing about Sportsnet getting exclusive rights to hockey is Kypreos followed closely by the deterioration of the HNIC and season ending montages by CBC.

It's fine to be a "fuse" but the fact is, I can think of so many plays where Bennett could get a decent shot on net, but he overthinks it and either gives the puck away or creates time for the other team to over whelm him and strip the puck away from him. Two games ago they showed highlights of Neal being open but neither Jankowski nor Bennett even saw him. I don't think Bennett has adjusted to the speed of the NHL, nor does he really anticipate plays well enough. This league isn't about giving ice time away based on pity, and that's why you see him with Frolik and Ryan once Peters starts shaking the lines.
As for Neal, #1 when he was paired with Bennett and Jankowski tonight, I don't think he was trying hard enough, once he was put on the Tkachuk Backlund line, his pace increased - but he continued to kind of give up on fore-checking on a few plays, he for sure wasn't fulfilling his forechecking assignment on a few plays and just seemed lackadaisical

Silly... this is the kind of depth calgary hasn't had for a long time.
its a long year. Injuries will happen. Keep the roster as it is unless it becomes a distraction in the room

Peters addressed this specifically after the game. He narrowed the bench while Bennett was still in the box and the team started gaining momentum. By the time Bennett was out of the box and available to go on the ice, he had been sitting for 45 minutes. It would be dumb to play a cold player seeing how badly the Flames were dominating at that point.
Peters interpreted this correctly and the Flames won. Had nothing to do with Bennett's play.

Bennett-Ryan-Frolik looked like a really good fit, which could then give neal more ice-time. That said I also wouldn't mind seeing Tkachuk-Backlund-Bennett or Tkachuk-Bennett-Neal as well. Hopefully next game

Kypreos is a clown. I maybe buy the James Neal ice time, but Bennett is in no position to be demanding icetime. I call complete BS on that.

The best part of this season so far is that the flames are a top team in the league and:
1) Goaltending can be a lot better
2) Bennett could break out in a big way
3) Neal is still settling in
4) Tkachuk could give us a 1b line if he finds the right linemates

15 minutes of ice time for Bennett tonight. Pretty much bang on for a guy producing at Bennett's clip. Bennett has been great this year IMO and will continue to get more ice time as he continues to produce.
Neal needing more ice time is a good problem to have IMO.
