Ference got suckered in by Lowe, who you have to hand it to, managed to sweet talk Pronger (with promises of also bringing in Neidermeyer that summer) Souray, Pat Quinn, and Renney, Erik Cole, Eric Perron and others, only to realize, (as McLellan found out) who truly dysfunctional an organization is. Ference always though does have an air of complaining about him as if he was a victim, and I don't think he's saying anything new, he's just the one that wasted his time worrying about it. Guys like Cole and Perron have exited stage right quietly, and a guy like Pronger, who asked for a trade from the Oilers at Christmas time, got steam rolled by the Oiler run media, with ridiculous accusations tossed at him. Guys like Nylander and Heatley have avoided that, based on Intel from agents and players with the Oilers under Lowe at the time. So this wasn't new, it's that these players see the money, are told by Lowe and whoever else Lowe uses to wine and dine players, how important they are to getting the Oilers back to prominence, playing up on Ference hometown connections, and anything else to have him feel wanted, so strongly they he ignored all the people telling him not to go there and join that well documented over the years, circus. But he did anyways.
Said it over and over, Lowe thinks this is 1983 and he's the Glen Sather of the Oilers again. Thinking he know better then most coaches or GMs or agents, letting players just go out and play, especially their young guys right out of junior, as their natural talent will pull through like it did Mess and Glenny and Fuhrsie.
Ference jumping Lee Stempniak into a fight after he got hit by Stempniak was cowardly and pathetic. Even worse was Hartley's "no pp against" rules so the Flames never squared up with Ference, in that game or any future game.
Staples is essentially using the Ference interview to take Chiarelli off of the hook for the Hall for Larsson trade.
Hey, why not... that's true... let's keep adding to it... it's also why they overpaid for the Russell and Lucic's "character"
Remember it was Hall for Larsson and Lucic.
I agree with Davy Boy.
Change NOTHING... STAY THE COURSE!!
This has NOTHING to do with drafting and development.
It has everything to do with Eberle and Hall. Hall and Eberle... two bad apples.
It wasn't like existing personnel still receiving a pay check from the Oilers let these players believe they were the second coming and continually blew smoke up their butts.
Nope. Not that.
It was just Eberle and Hall weren't the right kind of players.
Sorry you exaggeratedly said that he was “standing on his freaking leg” and then followed up with the bolded part above.
I get that you are replying to someone making fun of your belief that if the player is not near the goalie when the puck crosses the line that it’s not goaltender interference. But either way saying that Peluso is standing on Koskinens leg is just as inaccurate as saying that he is jumping on it - neither of those things took place
You are absolutely ridiculous. You’re reading comprehension is very poor. Stop putting words in my mouth and telling me what my beliefs are.
I said i felt Pelusos goal should have been called off and that Draisaitls would have been 50/50 to me. Appearantly the refs agreed with me.
I’m done replying to you. Stop putting words in my mouth.

I do not find any sources that Lucic has asked for a trade.
Just rumours out of Boston that there is perhaps a Backes-Lucic deal in the works.
Also, A rumour of RNH, Lucic for Backes, Krug and a young Bruins forward. Which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for Boston. Also Krug has Edmonton on his No Trade List
They were talking about the Ferrence comments on spittin Chicklets and those guys were saying that partying hard after games has worked well for other teams. Biz then mentions the LA kings who would go on benders after they won a round and then he mentions this years Flames as a team that “likes to have a little bit of fun”
Idk what to make of those comments, I have no issue with guys on the flames partying if it doesn’t effect their performance, hell if it makes them a closer team and the wins keep coming keep partying. Obviously would rather that info not of been aired out on the podcast tho.
For those interested in hearing the comments it’s at 13:35 on their latest episode.

Spitting Chicklets completely missed the point. Players were not practicing hard and were basically looking down on those that did practice hard. Every team has guys that party. IF they show up to practice and work their butts off it doesn't matter.
