Now that would make a lot of sense. VGK are bringing in lots of Russians from the KHL, Kaprizov may be able to come over in 2018/19 and adjust.

I read somewhere that Vegas is not only loading up on picks but spreading them out too. Out to 2020 with some teams. It was a tweet with quotes from a Vegas executive I think.

Looks like Ottawa will have to pay a lot to keep Marc Methot. Vegas GM George McPhee bringing up the ante by mentioning Lou's name a lot regarding a trade between Vegas and Toronto. He claims Toronto is looking for a defenseman from Vegas. Hmmm...

My understanding is that VGK have secured via trades about 10 draft picks spread out over 3 years. So far anyway.

I wonder what Toronto would have to give up to get Methot. I didn't realize he was so old plus he gets 4.5 million a year for the next 2.
I wonder if they would want JVR. Maybe JVR plus draft pick. Only one year left on his contract at 4.25 million but they need the scoring for sure and the Leafs need D.
