Is anyone else watching this?

Wasn't sure at first if I was going to keep watching it, but I think I will. On HBO, and like some of their other shows, lots of sex and violence. Particularly brutal fight scene in the most recent episode. I'm still not too keen on the dynamics between the main dude and his ex gf, but we'll see. Looks like the Russian mob will be coming to town soon also, so that should kick up the violence.

Watched the pilot giving it the benefit of the doubt, thought it could one way or the other after that. Unfortunately I turned it off halfway through the second episode, thought it was garbage.

To be clear it is on HBO Canada but it's actually a Cinemax show (which is owned/operated by HBO/Time Warner). Not that Cinemax hasn't put out some decent shows (StrikeBack) it is not an "HBO show" for the purposes of production values, quality and budget.

I watched the series. I would give it a 7.5 out of ten. It's a very violent show with lots of sex. Of course, it's not Spartacus gore or awesomeness but it is a fun watch. The lovey dove stuff with the ex girl-friend was a bit annoying but once you give in and realize the history, the length of time the main character spent in jail protecting her you can forgive and watch it. I LOVE the Amish side of the story and I hope we see more of that.

I didn't know if I was going to stick with it through the whole thing, but I'm glad I did. I thought their relationship was going to dominate the whole show, but it didn't. The only problem I have is that Hood seems to be able to nail most any hot woman that talks to him, hate guys like that. But now that the Amish mob boss is nailing his hot niece, she's off limits to Hood. I like the Amish twist too, different.
It's been renewed for S2, so, I'll watch again.

Okay, episode 5 season 2 was a fantastic episode 9.5 out of 10. It was shot beautifully and the story telling was fantastic. The characters are well flushed and it's become a real great show. I enjoy it over season one. I get excited for Friday, or if I can wait that long, Saturday viewing.

Love this show! Binged the first season last week and just about to start the second. It's so over the top and ridiculous.

It's hilarious how little effort Hood puts into getting laid.

Yeah, I've really come to like this show.

There's always at least one brutal, broken bones, cracked skulls, fight scene in each episode.

The story's not bad, and the boobs are good, so I feel I am getting my moneys worth out of this show.

Christ this show is nuts. It takes violence to all new levels. I'm just catching up on the last few shows, and damn. The fight between Proctors crazy guy and the Indian chick was nuts. I don't know how they can keep topping it each week but they do. The dude in the semi was freaking hilarious.

That choreography was amazing. Nola Longshadow is played by Odette Annable and she is such a freaking amazing character.

This show is a modern day Spartacus in the violence and adult play. And it's shot very well. This is my favorite show on TV right now because they don't hold back. I love that Rotten Tomatoes has this show at 100%. That's kind of the voters but no show is perfect.

Also watch the Banshee Origins to get some more background on the characters.

That death scene in ep 8 was unreal...

This show is so much win ... I wish it was more than 10 episodes a year. Next week is the season finale and something big is going down. Proctor is such a bad@$$.

How is this show not being discussed like the others? It's unbelievable!

Which death scene? There's so many.
I just looked at my first post in this thread, where I said I wasn't sure if I was going to stick with it, so glad I did. I think I thought that their relationship was going to dominate the series, but, turns out it's not a problem.
They really take violence to a new level, it's like a new dimension in violence(tm subway).
That heist was awesome where the camera work was like playing Doom, or probably many other shooter games, I haven't played video games in awhile.
I just watched the last 4 episodes last night.
The whole thing in New Orleans with Clayton was just fkn nuts.
The thing with Proctor and the Philly boys was fkn nuts.
The tattood drug gang Rebecca was dealing with were great.
Now the thing with the psycho army dude is fkn nuts.
Every week is fkn nuts.
Love this show. It consistently breaks new ground in the "V" category.

The season is done! What a great ending filled with action and suspense! I was sitting forward through the whole episode (if not season) and I found myself grimacing with the characters. There were so many fantastic death scenes this season but my favorite was the end of episode 8.

Spoiler!

Just finished the last episode last night.what an awesome show.
Something I noticed is that Hood doesn't even have time to bang hot chicks anymore because of all the time spent fighting and killing. The beginning of the series he was banging a hot chick every week.
This show is consistently intense.
