Hmm look at that. Canucks focus on shutting down mcdavid by having dorsett shadowing him all game and he puts up no points and they lose. Maybe there's a lesson there.

If dorsett can do this to McDavid surely we have someone who can too. Also McDavid is less potent on the road when his matchups are less favourable.

That it's much easier to get the match up you want at home?

Well obviously... More looking at putting a shadow on mcdavid whenever possible rather than letting him have a lot of space to pick up speed. Clearly much easier at home to do that.

Wasn't really him. Stopped 21 of 23 and gave up a brutal game tying goal on an unscreened slapper from well out at an angle. Granted, good shot, but that can't go in. Meanwhile the Flyers put up close to 40 shots... giving the Ducks lots of motivation for the game tomorrow when they're sure to put in a much better effort.

Having a "shadow" on a superstar is a throwback to '60s NHL tactics...I'm surprised that more teams don't do this.

We tried that last season with Versteeg but that didn't work out obviously.
