Brouwer should be dumped for any round of pick ASAP. He is going to cost the team points all season just like he did last year. He is as appealing as a sewage plant on a hot day.

Brouwer is waiver material and nobody and I mean nobody will take his contract, if he's off the team it's because the owners/management are willing to admit he's a $18 million mistake and send him to Stockton.

package him with value but it would be costly.

Flames would need to offer something of value with Brouwer for a late pick.

Even then it would be a really really difficult trade.

Maybe he means pick as in giving picks.
Brouwer retained, plus a pick, for future considerations.

I think the Flames should only do something like this if they are trying to take a run for a star player (like Duchene via trade or Tavares in free agency).

If Brouwer was involved for a Duchene type player we would have to retain at least 15% in each of the next 3 seasons (ouch) give up a Janko or a Fox or a Kylington -- one of our remaining high end talents no doubt -- and more future picks that we just can't afford to give.

The only way we get Brouwer out is if another anchor is coming in.

I agree with whoever said those buy out numbers are sounding pretty good already..
Maybe give him 10-20 games, and if he is just as pathetic then Hasta La Vista?
