Anyone who enjoyed this game should check out an Inferno game. It’s high level hockey and a fun atmosphere! Our city is lucky to have so many elite hockey players representing us.

I finally found a worse line change than the Flames in Anaheim last year. What in the world?

The 4 on 4 OT on the big ice was atrocious.

Yup just a horrible change.

#26 I think was the far side dman that decided to go when the Americans had the puck at their own blue line.

I immediately had flash backs to Engelland doing the same thing when we had a lead in a playoff game last year.

FFS now I’m sad again.

I don't think this is sour grapes but I hate international sized ice. It doesn't increase chances like the media would like us to believe...it just spreads everything out and slows down the game.

It was a Brodie’esque, game costing giveaway.

And if anyone wants to know more about the CWHL or the Inferno, please PM me. I don't want to clog the thread. I'm happy to chat more about it.

The person that kills shootouts in hockey is the hero we deserve.

Canadians probably had 5 of them in overtime but their goalie bailed them out.

I can't believe how much the quality of the hockey has improved.

And so quickly too.

The game, as intense as it was, was quite sloppy. Its hard for me to watch a hockey game with no hitting. It ends up 100% about body and stick positioning.

I'd like to bring back from the dead the person who invented the hockey shootout and punch them in the face repeatedly.

If we get the games in 2026:
- NHL size ice
- NHL playoff overtime rules for medal round games: NO SHOOTOUTS!!

This.

I cringed when I saw 4 Canadians deep knowing full well an odd man rush for the Americans would've been inevitable

NHLers shouldn’t go back until shootouts are abolished.

Completely agree with this. Which is why I only watched the last half of the period and the ot/shootout. Had it not been the Olympics I wouldn't have watched it at all. It's improved for sure from previous years. But just not too slow overall and lacking the type of skill that I like to see for me to get into on tv.

Or just play in the World Cup. No shootouts there.
