I love their IPA too. Too bad nobody in town has anything except Velvet Fog & Wraspberry on tap anywhere. Anyone know a place that's got the Brown Ale or IPA on tap (other than the brewery).
Limericks has the brown ale on tap. Its fantastic. They also have Wraspberry and Velvet fog but. Not sure if they have the IPA or not as its not my favorite from them.

1. Wild Rose Velvet Fog
2. Erdinger
3. Rickards White with a shot of Cointreau dropped in it. I call this an Agent Orange, and it's amazingly delicious, and will get you blasted fast.

I agree.
I don't think I've liked a single beer I've tried from Unibroue

I agree. I mean, its drinkable (most beer is), but at least to me, its really not deserving of its hype, or price tag.

Wild Rose has some great brews, but they don't taste nearly as good in bottles as they do on tap.

I would say my two favorite brews are polar opposites of eachother; Guiness being one, and Hoegaarden being the other.

Maudite's good stuff. I'm a student and work part time at a liquor store, and we used to sell all those Unibroue-type beers(Le Fin Du Monde, etc). We got a huge import wall so I experiment alot, one beer I really like lately is Red Stripe. I love the stout bottles they come in too, old school.

On a side note, people that dont like Steam Whistle are hepped up on goofballs...

Nothing does. Other than stank-ass kokanee or molson or whatever.

Haha ya stubbies, I knew that actually, just a brainfart. I'm pretty good with those. Ya I'm too young to remember those, I just saw em on all the Bob & Doug McKenzie stuff and always thought they were cool.

Some nicer beers do come close, but the Velvet Fog is especially bad when you have it in a bottle. The Rasberry Ale is better, but nothing replicates.

To the guy that said Guiness and Hoegaarden are his favourites, have you ever combined them? It sounds weird and I haven't tried but google it and you will see people do it. The top layer is black and the bottom white.

My favourite beers are Sleeman's Honey Brown (draft), Hoegaarden, La Fin du Monde, Rickard's White (I like the white beers), New Castle, Guiness, Big Rock's Traditional with a shot of Jag, Delerium Tremens, mexican beers in the summer, Carlton Cold and Cooper's from Australia and Bhrama Black and Bohemia Confriteria from Brazil.

To me the best brewery in Canada is Unibrouwe. They're strong, quality beers. La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles, Blache de Chambly, etc. Maude is their worst beer. Tree Brewing from Kelowna is an excellent microbrewery. Cutthroat is an awesome beer and I'd like to try more of their stuff.

Is there hype?? I don't know, I was looking for something new one day, picked up a case of La Fins, and the rest is history. I've been in love with the beer ever since.

Since this is a beer thread....here's my little bit:

I've never been a beer drinker. The taste is too bitter to me. However, one of my girlfriends suggested a white beer. What's the difference? Is it more of a light taste? Any suggestions on what to try?

I feel like a bit of a goof when I go out sometimes if I'm the only one with a girlie drink, even though I am a girl.
