Default Passive and starter investing- Simple Wealth

I’m just looking To see if anyone has any experience, positive or negative with robo investing. I’ve been looking at Simple Wealth.
It looks like an easy way to start investing without an advisor.
Any tips, feedback would be welcome.

Used WealthSimple for a couple years now. Love the automation of robo-advising. Rebalancing, low fees, etc.

Good solution for most investors

So how have you all been working out with these robo advisers? I really need to get into something like this. Looks like the big 3 in Canada are Quest Wealth, Nest Wealth and Wealth Simple.

Just curious if anyone is using any of these 3 and how it has worked out?

I tested the waters with Questwealth, 5k in their robo fund. Signed up in February and it is up about 10%. Far better than my old broker ever achieved, who only resulted in making me broker.

You can definitely improve your results by investing in some education and actively managing your portfolio. People do it all the time. But getting started via robo investing is a good start; better than sitting out completely.

That's an excellent point.

@Fuzz....glad to hear of the performance. 10% is pretty good.

For anyone interested, I found this article comparing the big 3 robo investors in Canada.

I wouldn't read a lot into 10% since February though. It's fine, but in the context of the overall market it's not incredible. And of course a 9 month period to gauge longer term investment performance is not a great way to do things.

Ya, that's why I only put a little bit in. I'm interested to see how it handles downturns.
