Uh, okay. Aberg doesn't really do much for the Oilers, it seems to me, and Letestu could've gotten you a B prospect. But I guess they do need to try to do something for depth.

Wasn't Letestu a BJ prior to the Oilers?

What did Pontus Aberg ever do to deserve a fate worse than death?

Yup, sure was. For four years no less.

That's a huge pick up for Oilers. 10 career points. Chia is a genius.

hopefully he goes on a tear with mcdavid and they can resign him to a lucic deal.... if david poile is willing to let this guy go for next to nothing, i have to believe he wont be much. the preds are arguably the best drafters and evaluators out there

Perhaps Pontus Aberg is distantly related to an 80s Oiler?

Ouch, that's got to suck being told you're going from the cup contending Preds to the worst team and the worst location in the NHL for a player the Preds didn't even want anyway.

So the Oilers got another older failed prospect to put on their farm with Malone and Rattie.

In other words they got nothing.

Damn it, this helps the Oilers out a lot. Aberg is quick and feisty. Will make a good 4th liner. Too bad Tre wasn’t in on this considering the low price tag of a 4th round pick.
