Ottawa has virtually the same record against the rest of division as Edmonton does. Just amazing that the Oilers are 7-0 against the Sens. What a strange season.

fuuuuucccckkkk

Zadorov just destroyed Hornqvist at the offensive blueline. He literally lifted him off the ground with an open ice hit, and it was 100% clean and devastating. Hornqvist immediately signaled for help from the bench and was very, very wobbly going off the ice.

I assume he's concussed based purely on impact, not even a headshot involved, but he got absolutely rocked. Perhaps he's just winded, we'll see. It didn't look good.

Goddamit, where's Lucic when you need him?

A player like that would look really good on the Flames right about now.

The Stars take the lead with 81 seconds left in regulation time and hang on to win 4-3. Great game.

Its crazy...Bieksa on the radio today pointed out that if the Flames swept the Sens they would be in first place

Its a fine line in this division

The Knights do not look good tonight as they are losing 5-1 in the third period. Fleury has been pulled after letting in all five goals, four of them in the second period.

They would actually be tied for third with Edmonton with 42 points.

If Ottawa had swept the Oilers they would be tied for 2nd.

It’s not a fine line when you are playing about 9 games vs. each opponent.

It’s not like Calgary deserved to sweep Ottawa, and Ottawa certainly didn’t deserve to sweep the Oilers.

At the time he said it they would have been tied for first...nobody said they deserved to beat the Sens

Bieksa certainly isn't a Flames homer

It's a regular season OT loss and they are already pretty well eliminated from playoff contention. Seems a little over the top for a GM.

I think it was your comment about it being a fine line that I was really referring too.

With such a large number of games between teams this year, giving any team a run of the table would give them a huge number of points. For example, Calgary being 7-0 vs Senators would give them an extra 9 points, which over a full season of 82 games equals an extra 22 points. Of course it would propel them in the standings.

But you could pretty much say that about any team.

There is not a fine line between Calgary going 2-4-1 vs. Ottawa and 7-0-0.
