And honestly this is kind of a #### thing to do for PS5 owners who now could not buy the game if they wanted to. I already have it, so what do I care, but knowing how it runs on the PS5 from experience there is literally zero reason to pull this game.
The thing it it's actually not being sold as a "PS5" game. It's being sold as a "PS4" game and that's the issue.
I think Sony is actually doing the right thing here. The game just doesn't run on OG PS4, OG XBox One, or OG One S, and that's the biggest install base out their.
It works okay on PS4 Pro, One X, and Series X/S but those have a fraction of the install base of the other three systems and the problem is that it's being sold and marketed to the people on those older systems.
Sony has a ####ty refund system for sure, and the silver lining in all this is that it was exposed, but I actually think pulling the game is the right move.
Especially considering it's the holiday season and people who are less informed are the ones potentially out buying this stuff right now.
Agreed. I'm taking it a step further and delaying the purchase of the new XBOX too, been burned too many times in the past by Microsoft and Sony with crappy early version consoles. Never forget the Red Ring of Death, and I cant even remember the issue with the PS2, but I know I got at least 2 replacements.
And really, these are the least impressive new consoles launched in console history. Usually the difference between last gen and new gen is mind blowing, and I can't wait to get my hands on one, not the case here, for me at least. Not to mention the lack of next-gen launch titles.

I understand that. I just think there was probably some fairly easy way to only make it available to people accessing the store via their PS5. Instead Sony just said "#### it."
Thinking of it more, next-gen owners can still buy the physical copy, so it's not the end of the world, it's just silly to me.
On the plus side, it should be in great shape by the time you can actually buy an RTX 3080.

I have purchased the last 4 PlayStation’s in their launch window and have been pretty lucky with only the PS3 crapping out. I traded my PS2 in 4 years after I bought it for a Xbox because my roommate and I each had a PS2. The PS3 fried after 5-6 years, I got it repaired by a guy in the NE that repaired gaming systems. It worked for a while then crapped out again a few months before the PS4 launched. Luckily that system is still going strong today. So far so good with the PS5

The PS3 was the first console that required me to actually upgrade my TV. I bought my first LED HD TV in anticipation of the PS3 and remember ditching the AV cables for HDMI. I could be wrong but I think the PS3 didn’t come with a HDMI cable and that had to be bought separately.
While I agree I don’t see a huge jump in graphics from my PS4 to PS5 part of that is because I do not have a 4K tv. This generation required I upgrade my TV to enjoy it fully and that to me is a big leap.
I went through two 360s before having to buy a Slim because my extended warranty ran out. I only went through one PS3 but that was a disc drive problem. I thought about just replacing the drive but read that there was a good chance something else was going to die so I just decided to buy a new one.
I've had no problems with my launch PS4 and one year after launch Xbox One.
Bugsnax on the PS5 is a super fun game. It's actually very well voiced and rather humorous. And the game mechanics are pretty fun. Even the sound the bugs make are kinda funny. If you have a PS5 and PSN you can download it for free.
