Calgary man loses testicles while trying to ‘fill scuba tank with weed smoke’
Quote:
A 29-year old Calgary local has suffered extensive injuries to his lower body after an unconventional attempt to ‘fill a scuba tank with weed smoke’ failed spectacularly last Thursday night. According to the testimony of several witnesses, Robert Palmer had consumed a copious quantity of alcohol before making the decision to demonstrate the home-made device.

A more kinder gentler Darwin award. Takes him out of the gene pool, but doesn't kill him.

The things people do when they're intoxicated or high. Guess it seemed like a good idea at the time.
On another note, that story afterwards of the Israeli woman using her combat skills to lop off some dude's nuts after his attempted rape was pretty bad ass.

Correction: An earlier version of this post stated the victim was unemployed. Mr Palmer is actually employed on a part-time basis at a Calgary Quiznos outlet. We regret the error.

You ruined it. You have to let it slow burn to see if anybody/how many people takes the bait.

In that case, it's kinda funny they go through the effort to correct a made up story.

Guess I was fooled. What's the occasion for starting a joke thread? Is it some new April Fools thing?

I always like when Calgary gets mentioned in random news. Even fake news. I'll take it!

Yes, I mean for the sake of accuracy, Surrey or Edmonton would have been a more believable locale.

I did find it a bit strange that doctors would feel the need to announce the results of a very private surgery to the news along with the victims name. I got a mental image of the surgeons yelling that they could not attach his balls through the hallway of the hospital and the guy just looking sad.

My first thought was that his friends didn't seem that upset. I thought it was just a really badly written story, but the premise isn't that far out really.
I must say, the scuba bong does sound like an intriguing idea.

How many people will go into Quiznos and wonder which stoner is the eunuch after thinking it's a real story?

I hope there's one speaking in falsetto, hello sir (voice crack). He'd be infamous.
